SUBURGATORY: Emily Kapnek Teases the Start of Dallas and George’s Romance

October 24, 2012 by

SUBURGATORY has only been dancing around the potential of a George and Dallas pairing for a season, but tonight’s Halloween-themed episode has Dallas finally broaching the topic of them entering into a romantic relationship.

“Dallas finally decides the time is right and she puts it out there and she wants to see how George reacts,” SUBURGATORY creator Emily Kapnek told me. “And she does it in the context of wanting him to be in a couples costume with her.”

Unfortunately, George doesn’t quite understand what Dallas is really asking him.

“George says no, but he’s responding to the costume idea, not realizing she’s asking a bigger question,” Kapnek explained. “So once Dalia explains to George what [her] mom is really asking, the episode after that is their first date.”

And since we know Dallas brings her life coach on her first date with George next episode, clearly things won’t be any easier (or less wacky) for the new lovebirds any time soon.

Are you excited to finally see George and Dallas as a couple?

SUBURGATORY airs Wednesdays at 9:30 PM on ABC.
