THE VOICE: Team Adam’s Amber Carrington Talks Katy Perry and Tackling a Maroon 5 Song

June 11, 2013 by

Team Adam’s Amber Carrington had a big night during the top 5 performance show: not only did Katy Perry send in a video to give Carrington some pre-performance cheers for daring to take on Perry’s single, “Firework,” but Carrington also had to do her take on her coach’s song, “Sad.”

After the show, I spoke with Carrington about the pressures that came with performing those songs…

I have hadd difficulty clearing my mind in getting my thoughts
out. I do tqke pleasure in writing but it just seems like the first
10 to 15 minutes are wasted simply just trying to figure out how to begin. Any suggestions or
