I loved Still and The Ghost in the Machine, but The Lives of Others was one of my favorite episodes of any show this year. It was Castle at its best and the perfect way to celebrate 100 episodes.

LARP and the Real Girl! Because everything’s better with Charlie. And with Dean in a chain mail 😉

  3. Gabrielle on June 27th, 2013 6:22 pm

This is like Sophie’s Choice! “Still” or “The Lives Of Others”??? D=

  4. Anisha on June 27th, 2013 7:28 pm

Oh please. Bones’s The Ghost in the Machine was BY FAR the BEST 😉

  5. Helen on June 28th, 2013 12:18 am

    DEFINITELY, 100% Bones. No doubt.

Lives of Others gets my vote!

  7. Kim on June 28th, 2013 12:58 am

Lives of Others and Still??? Ugh choices!! Guess I’ll have to go with Lives since it was their big 100, and it was an extraordinary ep!! Didn’t see the surprise happening!

I adore Charlie and loved LARP and the Real Girl, but Hunteri Heroici got my vote on this one because it has all my favorite things: Castiel, Dean/Castiel scenes, Sam/Castiel scenes, Sam and Dean, Sam, Dean, and mostly just Team Free Will! Plus it was hilarious and definitely way out-of-the-box.

    STILL……CASTLE lo mejor

  10. I love Castle 4ever on June 28th, 2013 4:36 am

Still or The Lives of Others???? O my God how do I do to choice??
    I LOVE ALL CASTLE’S EPISODES!!!!

  11. rosa on June 28th, 2013 6:10 am

Hunter Heroici for me, it was hilarious!

  12. vinna on June 28th, 2013 7:02 am

Hunter Heroici was an awesome episode. Dean, Cas and Sam all working together. Plus it was a really fun episode.

  13. HQ on June 28th, 2013 9:25 am

Oh, Hunter Heroici was my favorite episode of Supernatural this year, period. Very clever and funny and kinda sad, too. The talking cat was purrrrfect.

  14. Scarlett on June 28th, 2013 1:33 pm

Hunteri Heroici from SPN for me! Definitely out of the box!

  15. Restless on June 28th, 2013 2:31 pm

Hunteri Heroici. LOONEY TUNES what’s not the love? XD
Also yes, Castiel. I like Charlie, and I do enjoy Larping (but I”d disagree that it’s some weird out of the box past time, or episode), but I love and adore Castiel and Looney Tunes were literally my childhood.

I am seriously going to have to start watching Bones and Castle tho. Apparently a lot of cool stuff happens in them! :O

o de bones foi sem duvida o melhor, um crime daquela perspectiva, foi incrivel

Having to choose between Still and The Lives of Others is just unfair, but after much deliberation I went with Lives. So many aww-worthy moments (spooning!) in that one. But now I want to go watch the super cute opening scene of Still again…

  18. mari on June 30th, 2013 9:46 am

    still….castle

  19. Kimberley on June 30th, 2013 11:52 pm

Hmm, Loved “Still”, “The Lives of Others” and “Hunteri Heoici”. But while I loved “Still” more than I did “The Lives of Others” just because I loved the reminiscing over everything Caskett’s been through, I think of the two Castle episodes, “The Lives of Others” is definitely more out of the box. And Supernatural’s “Hunteri Heroici” was deinitely out of the box. But I have to go with Castle. I’ve discovered a different kind of out of the box thinking through this show.

I’m not just voting for Castle because putting an episode like “The Lives of Others” together in such a way that the audience doesn’t realize what’s actually going on, while still adding hints so that it’s obvious, when looking back on the episode, must have been quite the task.

I’m also voting for this episode because this show is brilliant in a different way than I’m used to. Usually when I watch a show, I either watch an episode to see what is happening without trying to figure it out or I watch an episode and try to figure it out when watching it for the first time. But the second time there aren’t many new things, so I either don’t rewatch old episodes or I do but for sentimental reasons, because I enjoy the comedy and romance.

But with this show, it’s different. It really is a mystery. No matter how many times I watch an episode, there is always something new to discover. There is so much subtext and foreshadowing packed into one single episode along with parallels between different episodes, usually over the course of several seasons, that there’s always something I missed when I rewatch an episode. Either it’s a look I missed between characters, or an important comment that didn’t seem that way the first time around but turns out to be vital, or in other words, a clue to a future storyline or character’s behavior.

So in the end I watch this show for both the comedy and the romance with a little sentimentality mixed in, but mostly I watch it for the brilliant cohesion of it all. I love how this show makes me think, daring me, as part of the audience to figure out the characters’ next move, especially our main couple’s next step, or the problems they will face. because there is always a clue to be found in earlier episodes, you just have to find it. It’s like solving a logic puzzle…or playing a game of spot the differences. It’s about taking the clues presented and forming a picture that makes everything-all the clues- makes sense.

Ordinarily I would have voted for a Castle episode, but since Stana Katic ran off at the mouth in her TV guide interview, I voted for neither Castle entry.

“Castle” I cried a lot in this episode loved loved best series of all forever
