Backstage at the Creative Arts Emmys 2013: Stories From Bob Newhart, Dan Bucatinsky, Carrie Preston, and More

While the Creative Arts Emmy winners got their time on stage to give their acceptance speeches (and you can watch the broadcast of the ceremony on FXX this Saturday), there’s always more to say, more light to shed on what it means to them, etc.
So, backstage, after their victories, many of the night’s winners talked with press…and they shared some lovely sentiments about the shows that got them an Emmy…
CHILDRENS HOSPITAL (Outstanding Special Class – Short-Format Live-Action Entertainment Programs)
CHILDRENS HOSPITAL star Rob Corddry was in a silly mood when backstage, citing that he wanted "Debra Messing [or] anyone from SMASH," to guest star on the show. And while the show doesn't have a lot of limits (aside from its 15-minute run time) Corddry joked there were "no mermaid jokes because we think that's mean."
