CASTLE: Lisa Edelstein Teases ‘Need to Know’

October 7, 2013 by

When CASTLE boss Andrew Marlowe first teased tonight’s brand new episode, “Need to Know,” he noted, “We have an idea that’s centered around the death of a grown-up child actor, that takes us into a fun kind of SAVED BY THE BELL world, that turns into something much more complicated than that as we move further into the storytelling.”

As it turns out, the “more complicated” aspect of the episode is due to circumstances that bring Beckett back to New York…but with a twist.

“There’s a case that will bring Beckett and Castle into world of the New York precinct,” CASTLE guest star Lisa Edelstein (McCord) teased. “But Beckett will be working with me.”

And while Edelstein noted that the new environment didn’t shed additional light for McCord about her partner’s relationship with Castle — “I think she already knew what she needed to know about Beckett and Castle[‘s relationship],” Edelstein said — the episode did allow for her to get the chance to work with the rest of the cast of CASTLE.

“I got to act with everybody but the family,” Edelstein teased.

So what will McCord and Beckett in New York mean for the new partnership? You’ll have to tune in tonight to find out…

CASTLE airs Mondays at 10 PM on ABC.
