Fox Boss Kevin Reilly on GLEE’s Final Season

May 12, 2014 by

GLEE will be heading into its final season next year, but when the fall Fox schedule was released, the series was MIA. But there is a bright side to waiting a bit for more GLEE: according to what Kevin Reilly, Chairman, Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company (FOX) told reporters on a conference call today, “When it comes back in the second half of the season…[they will] air all their episodes in a row.”

But how many episodes the final season will consist of is slightly up in the air.

“The order is currently for 22,” Reilly confirmed. “But we’re actually going to sit down with [GLEE creator] Ryan [Murphy] and really talk about how we’re going to end it, and figure that out. The advantage of having it on later in the season is we don’t have to feel the pressure of delivering [the episodes on time]; we can do them in a row. So we’re going to talk about exactly the best way to end the show, and how many [episodes] that is.”

Would you be OK if GLEE’s final season was a little shorter than planned? Or are you hoping for all 22 episodes?
