GRACEPOINT Exclusive Video: David Tennant on Filming in Victoria: ‘You Need the Location to Be Just Right’

Fox is debuting GRACEPOINT — a moody, 10-part murder mystery event series (adapted from the British series, BROADCHURCH) — this fall, and to get the tone of the show right, where they filmed the series was an important decision.
“Gracepoint, the place, is very much a character in the piece,” GRACEPOINT star David Tennant (Detective Carver) says in the exclusive video below. “It’s the story of a small town, as much as it’s the story of a murder investigation…I think Victoria [B.C.] has afforded us some fantastic locations.”

As a fan of Broadchurch (I bought it and have watched it so often I’ve memorized parts of it!) I’m absolutely thrilled to see this retelling with more in-depth characters, more episodes, differing plot points and a different ending. The cast is the stuff of dreams and Chibnall and Strong, who gave us Broadchurch, are going to give us a splendid retelling! (FYI France is also remaking Broadchurch)
