THE FLASH: ‘The Trap’ Teases

April 28, 2015 by

The TrapTHE FLASH continues its crazy-good streak with tonight’s new hour, “The Trap,” as the team sets out to get Wells to confess to his misdeeds…while not tipping him off that they’re working behind his back.

Personally, I found “The Trap” to be one of the best hours THE FLASH has done so far…an impressive feat, considering how consistent/enjoyable/good the series has been so far. And with only a few hours until the episode airs, I wanted to offer a few teases about what goes down…

  • This is the hour where we get a glimpse at Barry’s time in a coma. It’s particularly heartbreaking to see Iris and Joe’s (understandable) concern.
  • Eddie’s bout with the lookalike metahuman in the previous episode causes him to reassess the relationships in his life.
  • Mazel tov! Some really cool answers about the future are coming via the team’s time in Wells’ secret room.
  • Though the team’s priority is to take down Wells, that doesn’t mean things are slowing down in the outside world. Barry will need to help save a group of people…including a familiar face.
  • With Cisco’s dreams/memories of the erased timeline coming through, they come up with an unconventional idea to utilize the knowledge he might have. It’s very FRINGE-y. (And it’s worth noting that one of “The Trap”‘s co-writers, Alison Schapker, did actually work on FRINGE.)
  • A metahuman from the past reappears in a most inconvenient way/time.
  • Once again, tonight’s episode feels like it could be a season finale. There are big action sequences, relationship-changing revelations, and more. Where the heck does this show actually go for its finale?!
