Fox Orders THE MINORITY REPORT and LUCIFER to Series

Fox has ordered two more dramatic (and genre) shows for the upcoming 2015-2016 season: THE MINORITY REPORT and LUCIFER have been picked up to series, the network announced.

They join THE FRANKENSTEIN CODE, GRANDFATHERED, THE GUIDE TO SURVIVING LIFE, THE GRINDER, ROSEWOOD, SCREAM QUEENS, and THE X-FILES revival as the new additions to Fox’s lineup.

Per Fox, in THE MINORITY REPORT, “10 years after the end of Pre-crime in DC, one of the three Pre-cogs struggles to lead a “normal” human life, but remains haunted by visions of the future, when he meets a detective who just may help him find a purpose to his gift.” The series stars Meagan Good, Stark Sands, Wilmer Valderrama, Daniel London,  Laura Regan, Li Jun Li, and Zhane Hall. The pilot was written by Max Borenstein, though JOURNEYMAN creator Kevin Falls will showrun the drama.

Also picked up is LUCIFER, a show based on the DC Comics character. Per Fox, “Bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, Lucifer resigns his throne and abandons his kingdom for the gorgeous, shimmering insanity of Los Angeles, where he gets his kicks helping the LAPD punish criminals.  Based on the characters from DC Entertainment’s Vertigo imprint.” The series stars RUSH’s Tom Ellis as the title character, as well as Lauren German, Rachael Harris, DB Woodside, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Nicholas Gonzalez, and Scarlett Estevez. It comes from CALIFORNICATION creator Tom Kapinos and the pilot was directed by Len Wiseman (who has been killing it the past couple season with SLEEPY HOLLOW).
