August 12, 2015 by

USA has set a January 14th premiere for its new drama, COLONY.

The series — from Carlton Cuse and Ryan Condal — follows a couple (played by Josh Holloway and Sarah Wayne Callies) who are struggling “to survive and bring liberty back to the people of an occupied Los Angeles.”

Additionally, CHRISLEY KNOWS BEST will return on Tuesday, November 10th, followed by the launch of DONNY!, a new soft-scripted comedy series. And the sophomore season of SATISFACTION will bow on Friday, October 16th.

Here’s what USA Network had to say about what’s on tap…

“USA Network today announced that the epic drama COLONY, from Carlton Cuse (“Lost”) and Ryan Condal (“Hercules”), will premiere on  Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 10/9c, giving the series a strong launch pad leading out of the two-hour powerhouse WWE live action series SMACKDOWN which airs Thursdays 8/7c.  In addition, viewers are in store for a lot of laughs on Tuesday nights this fall, with the debut of soft-scripted comedic series DONNY! on Tuesday, November 10 at 10:30/9:30c, immediately following the return of the buzzy reality hit series CHRISLEY KNOWS BEST at 10/9c.  Fridays heat up with the return of the sexy drama SATISFACTION on Friday, October 16 at 10/9c.

DONNY! (Season 1: 6 eps – Tuesday, November 10 @ 10:30/9:30c)

This half-hour soft scripted comedic series, starring Donny Deutsch, takes a satirical look at the media, wealth and modern romance through the eyes of Deutsch’s fictionalized character of the same name.  It is based on the real-life famed ad man, single dad and TV personality.  Each week, as the host of a successful daytime talk show, Donny preaches from a holier-than-thou pulpit and dispels advice about a variety of issues.  But off the camera, as Donny navigates life as a single dad and TV personality, we find that he’s a filterless rogue who lives in hilarious contrast to almost everything he espouses publicly.  DONNY! is executive produced by Banks Tarver, Ken Druckerman and Angie Day of Left/Right (“Odd Mom Out,” “Mob Wives,” “Small Town Security”) and Deutsch.  DONNY! also stars Emily Tarver (“Sisters”).

COLONY (Season 1: 10 eps – Thursday January 14 @ 10/9c)

From executive producers Cuse (“Lost”) and Condal (“Hercules”) comes USA’s newest, highly anticipated drama COLONY.  Set in the very near future, COLONY centers on one family’s struggle to survive and bring liberty back to the people of an occupied Los Angeles.  SAG winner Josh Holloway (“Lost”) stars as former FBI agent Will Bowman and Satellite Award winner Sarah Wayne Callies (“The Walking Dead”) stars as his wife, Katie, who live in a dangerous world of divided ideologies.  While some choose to collaborate with the occupation and benefit from the new order, others rebel and suffer the consequences.  COLONY is a co-production between Legendary Television and Universal Cable Productions (UCP).   Nelson McCormick (“24”) also executive produces.

SATISFACTION (Season 2: 10 eps – Friday, October 16 @ 10/9c)

Season two of SATISFACTION resumes with Neil (Matt Passmore, “The Glades”) and Grace (Stephanie Szostak, “Devil Wears Prada”) confronting their infidelities from the past six months, while Adriana (Katherine LaNasa, “Three Sisters”) schemes to keep them apart for good.  This 10-episode sophomore season promises many sexy and soapy twists, with Neil, Grace, Adriana and Simon (Blair Redford, “The Lying Game”) pushing their personal boundaries and comfort zones more than ever.  From Universal Cable Productions (UCP) and executive producer/creator Sean Jablonski (SUITS, “Nip Tuck”), Russ Krasnoff (“Community”) of Krasnoff/Foster also serves as executive producer.

CHRISLEY KNOWS BEST (Season 3.5: 6 eps – Tuesday, November 10 @ 10/9c)

The season three return of CHRISLEY KNOWS BEST picks up with the Chrisley family’s first overseas vacation in London.  Much to his family’s chagrin, Todd insists on turning his brood into a proper English family (Lord Todd anyone?).  Yet, in true Todd fashion, he goes to great lengths to prove he’s a royal.  The season also will feature the family celebrating a major milestone in the Chrisley household, as Chase and Savannah graduate from high school and prepare to leave the cozy Chrisley nest and head off to college.  This summer, CHRISLEY KNOWS BEST was a top 10 unscripted series for P18-49 (1.33MM) and P25-54 (1.45MM) and has been picked up for a 12-episode fourth season.  CHRISLEY KNOWS BEST is produced by Maverick TV and All3Media America, with Adam Greener, Stephanie Bloch Chambers, Marilyn Wilson, Jen Perry Leamy, Jim Sayer, Eli Holzman and Stephen Lambert serving as executive producers. Annie Kate Pons serves as supervising producer.
