Let’s talk about Thursday night’s TV!

THE BIG BANG THEORY: It was sweet that Howard knew that Bernadette was hiding out in the kids’ playhouse and just let it be. And of course Leonard ended up giving the grant money to himself; good luck surviving the crows!

SUPERSTORE: Wow, I’m actually surprised Adam didn’t know about Jonah and Amy. I get (most of) their colleagues being in the dark, but that also likely means they’re keeping it from Emma.

Dina asking Glenn to stay with her while she had the C-section was really sweet and a great, vulnerable moment. And Dina’s moment with the child she carried reminded me of Phoebe saying goodbye to the triplets on FRIENDS; Dina’s was perfectly in-character as she gave very practical advice. (You probably should run from a man with a houseboat.)

SUPERNATURAL: It was a fun fluff episode. It was adorable to see Dean so excited (and poor Sam so miserable re: Halloween).

THE GOOD PLACE: Michael’s “dad mode” made me laugh out loud. Tahani’s sister was over the top (which runs in the family, of course), but it was sweet they got some closure. (And the abstract art was sweetly symbolic.)

WILL & GRACE: This was a tough episode. I get what they were trying to do with Grace’s #MeToo reveal, but it felt awkward. It’s tough to handle a topic like this on a multi-cam show, but the juxtaposition of it with the (hilarious) competition to be Jack’s best man…it didn’t work for me. Debra Messing was powerful in her biggest scene, but I wish they had either gone all in or had a B-plot that was a little less out there.

LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT: There was a bit of guest star-itis with this episode, because as soon as it was revealed Sasha Alexander was playing the sole survivor of a family who was massacred—albeit with the excuse she was at work when it happened—it was clear she did it/was involved. (They also took a weirdly long time to even consider her as a suspect? If there was no forced entry, you’d think you’d at least question when she left home/if anything was strange.)
