Let’s talk about Monday night’s TV!

AMERICA’S GOT TALENT: THE CHAMPIONS: As great as the premiere was, it felt like week two was equally as underwhelming. You could make the argument that Darci Lynne and Piff the Magic Dragon could have also made it through to the next round, but most of the others were fairly forgettable.

THE PASSAGE: I’m very curious how those who read the book series reacted to the premiere. I haven’t read it yet—I know it’s very different—but I really enjoyed what they started. The central relationship with Amy and Brad was really sweet, and it made sense why she at least would be drawn to him. The moment where they had a makeshift memorial for her mother? So beautiful.

MANIFEST: I wish we had gotten a little more time with the pilot, because, frankly, his reappearance brought up some really interesting threads. He’s right: everyone likely did blame him to some degree. The passengers weren’t in control, so whatever happened to them, it wasn’t wholly their fault. Even if what happened wasn’t the pilot’s fault…who the heck would believe him?
