About Last Night…THE FLASH, SPLITTING UP TOGETHER, and THE ROOKIE

Let’s talk about Tuesday night’s TV!

THE FLASH: I love how much LEGENDS OF TOMORROW was worked into the show. (But help us all if Mick’s book is catching on.)

I understand why Barry wants to believe that some villains can be changed. His point about Leonard Snart was valid, but also an abnormality. Who the heck knows what kind of absolute mayhem he accidentally unleashed because Nora is now giving Thawne another chance?

SPLITTING UP TOGETHER: Oh my God, “Milo Town” was hilarious. And the double-standard of which of their kids’ significant others could spend the night was a smart storyline to play with.

It feels like SPLITTING UP TOGETHER is inching back to reuniting Lena and Martin, and while I’m all for that, it feels like if they take that step, it needs to stick. Maybe not ’til death do they part, but it can’t be another one episode reunion and they split/get nasty again.

THE ROOKIE: Uh, it’s kind of creepy Nolan’s coworkers are social media friends with his kid! I’m also glad we got to see a bit more about how Nolan’s total change of life direction is impacting the people he cares about; it’s natural they’d have some growing pains with the adjustment.

I love that Shawn Ashmore popped back up on the show. It’s a mini-THE FOLLOWING reunion! (THE ROOKIE creator Alexi Hawley co-ran THE FOLLOWING for a bit.) It’ll be interesting to see how far his relationship goes with Lopez, especially since it seems like they’ll be butting heads professionally.
