THE SIMPSONS: After Homer steals Comic Book Guy’s car, he must either prove his innocence in court or reconcile with the jilted nerd in the all-new “101 Mitigations” episode of THE SIMPSONS airing Sunday, March 3 (8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT). Let’s talk about Sunday’s TV!

THE SIMPSONS: Sometimes it feels like THE SIMPSONS shoe-horns in celeb guest stars, but Guillermo Del Toro was a lot of fun and felt like he fit in. (But wouldn’t Comic Book Guy have stolen Homer’s keychain to try and sell it—or keep it for himself—rather than break it? I get an eye for an eye, but…)

SUPERGIRL: Uh, is the president the real Big Bad of the season?

I really miss the Alex and Kara relationship from pre-wipe. I understand why they’re making it stick for a bit—it has to have real consequences—but it was really obviously absent from last night’s episode.

AMERICAN IDOL: There were a bunch of really, really great auditions in the premiere. Myra Tran’s “One Night Only” was stunning, but Walker Burroughs and Johanna Jones were early memorable contestants.

Nick Townsend’s story was absolutely freaking gutting. He was a good singer, too, but I wish the camera hadn’t continued to linger on Luke Bryan, who related to the young man’s loss. (Look, I get the nature of the show. It just felt like the last shot of Bryan was one too much.)

FAMILY GUY: Brian continued crush on Lois is so weird–and it’s bonkers he roped in Stewie to go see if she was having an affair. (Not the craziest thing the show has done, but still.)
