Let’s talk about Thursday’s TV!

SUPERSTORE: When Amy started pursuing managerial opportunities, I honestly didn’t expect her to get promoted—and certainly not get promoted so fast. I’m thrilled she’s getting this chance.

It also looked like so much fun to wreck the store..it was probably like an event better version of those rooms where you can go in and destroy everything for a set amount of time.

SUPERNATURAL: Uhhhhh, WTF did Jack do to Mary???? Him turning bad is not a surprise; him killing Nick even makes sense. But if he did serious damage to Mary, that’s dark. (Yes, the show started with Mary being burned alive by a demon. It feels crueler now, even if these are bonus years.)

THE BIG BANG THEORY: I love the animated sequence of Howard’s time in space. (And I’m a little surprised the show isn’t make the book into a real thing.)

Uh, I’m a little afraid of Amy.

GREY’S ANATOMY: Man, Megan was so much fun to have back. Her scenes with Teddy and Owen (but especially Teddy) were so delightful. I’m also glad she called Owen out for his pretty awful behavior with Teddy and Amelia last season; let’s see if he actually puts in the work to better himself now.

Such a lovely scene where Meredith and Jackson discussed Richard as their shared father figure. And Bailey and Webber being flummoxed that Alex did something better than them was pretty perfect.

I’m glad Jo isn’t just snapping back to normal after what she went through with her mom.

WILL & GRACE: I didn’t expect Jack to actually get married; for the show’s sake, I really hope it sticks. Grace traveling around the world doesn’t feel impulsive, it feels really selfish. (It’s not like she broke up with her live-in boyfriend before she unexpectedly jetted off to Europe.)

I have significantly less confidence that Will and McCoy will make it down the aisle, but it’ll be interesting to see how far they do go.

MOM: Oh my God, Bonnie trying to mother Christy was pretty great. It’s kind of sad to think about how much they lost, but also so incredible to acknowledge how much they’ve grown in the years since they became sober.

LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT: It’s admittedly different circumstances, but it was super gross that they revived one of Olivia’s newer, manipulative, character traits for this episode. It makes sense Olivia would have very, very conflicted feelings about a woman potentially aborting a pregnancy that resulted from rape given her own conception, but there’s a significant difference in offering both sides (especially because she does have a very unique perspective) and trying to push a woman who is set on an abortion to keep a child she may not have been emotionally equipped to deal with. Olivia did the latter.

Outside of that, the Liv and Amanda scene where Olivia shared what she overheard her mother say was she was a teen was heartbreaking. And it was fun to see TJ Thyne back on TV post-BONES, even if his role was super messed up.
