A MILLION LITTLE THINGS - "time stands still" - Rome helps PJ through a personal crisis, while Gary and Maggie's relationship takes a turn; and Delilah, Eddie and Katherine make tough decisions that will affect their families on the fall finale of "A Million Little Things," airing THURSDAY, NOV. 21 (9:01-10:01 p.m. EST), on ABC. (ABC) DREA DE MATTEO

On the last episode of A MILLION LITTLE THINGS, PJ (Chandler Riggs) discovered the paternity results were in—and he was Jon’s (Ron Livingston) son.

“That is going to rock this friend group,” Nash previews. “They are still coming to terms with the fact that the Jon they knew wasn’t the Jon they knew and now they’re learning that he had a son. And I think they’re wondering, did he know about that? How come he didn’t have PJ in his life? There’s so many things that they’re wanting to know. And I think they’re so—as a friend group—protective of Delilah, this is a game changer.”

Of course, that isn’t the only paternity drama in the friend group. “As the group has tried to not take sides with regard to Katherine and Delilah who seem to be at odds about what’s best to do for their children, Rome and Regina are carrying information that is extremely relevant,” Nash teases.

And things get very emotionally difficult in the final episode of 2019—so there is a special warning before the episode that Nash urges fans to keep in mind. “I just want to make sure that everybody is in a great place when they watch it, because it’s a really intense episode,” he says. “We’ll have a warning at the top of the show and I’ve been tweeting a bunch about that. And I just want to make sure that people are looking out for themselves.”

Here’s ABC’s take on “time stands still”: “Rome helps PJ through a personal crisis, while Gary and Maggie’s relationship takes a turn; and Delilah, Eddie and Katherine make tough decisions that will affect their families. Guest stars include Drea de Matteo as Barbara Morgan, Rhys Coiro as Mitch, Chandler Riggs as PJ, Jason Ritter as Eric, Brian Scolaro as Brian and Jenny O’Hara as Enid.”
