There is a lot, lot, lot of television on right now, which means there’s a lot to appreciate. Here’s a few things I’m thankful for…

  • THE MASKED SINGER. Yes, it is silly. But it’s also the show I’ve had arguably the most fun watching this year…it’s combined singing (often incredible singing) with my desire to be an amateur detective. It is 100% for me.
  • Baby Yoda.

YOU TELL ME HOW YOU CAN LOOK AT THAT FACE AND NOT FEEL OVERWHELMING JOY?

  • Crossovers. When done well, they can be extraordinarily effective. The ONE CHICAGO crossover felt like a true event, and the upcoming “Crisis” ARROWverse event has been a full year in the making. Bring it on.
  • Anniversary celebrations. Look, nostalgia can be out of control at times, but there’s no denying it’s comforting to embrace a beloved show. Whether it was going all out for FRIENDS (including literally leaving the state) or doing new interviews about old episodes for SVU‘s 20th, I loved being able to revisit shows that mean(t) so much to me.
  • Hulu. Yes, they have fantastic original series, but I’m also thankful for the ability to binge a number of shows I adore that aren’t as readily available on DVD. (Yes, I may have rewatched COUGAR TOWN and SUPERSTORE.)
  • THE KELLY CLARKSON SHOW. First of all, it’s giving us a new Kelly Clarkson cover every single day. Who is not thankful for that?! But it’s also surprisingly heartwarming, funny, and a nice midday day.
  • TV. Look, there may be way too much television right now—there is no way you can watch it all, even if it is your full-time job—but that also means it’s virtually impossible for there not to be at least one program you’re connecting to. Yay, TV!

What are you thankful for?
