Disney+ is reviving THE MIGHTY DUCKS—with Lauren Graham set to star.

According to Disney+, “In present day Minnesota, the Mighty Ducks have evolved from scrappy underdogs to an ultra-competitive, powerhouse youth hockey team. After 12-year-old Evan is unceremoniously cut from the Ducks, he and his mom Alex (Graham) set out to build their own ragtag team of misfits to challenge the cutthroat, win-at-all-costs culture of competitive youth sports.” Brady Noon has been cast as Graham’s son Evan.

The series is based on the ’90s franchise (which starred Emilio Estevez and Josh Jackson) THE MIGHTY DUCKS, which spawned three films, an animated series, and led to the creation of a real NHL team.

Graham is currently starring on the NBC series ZOEY’S EXTRAORDINARY PLAYLIST. The 10-episode season of THE MIGHTY DUCKS is set to start production in Vancouver this month, with an intended launch on Disney+ later this year.
