About Last Night…THE VOICE

Let’s talk about Monday night’s TV!

THE VOICE: It was a really solid episode, but what continues to blow me away is how funny this season is. Some of it is quasi-intentional (the poking fun at each other), some of it is apparent malfunction (those chairs malfunctioning), and then some is a combination of of long shooting days added to the natural competitiveness leading to brain farts (my God, the “Happy Birthday” debacle made me laugh). It’s nice to have it be so light-hearted, especially in two-hour episodes.

Thunderstorm Artis, man. What a voice. What a talent. And his pairing with John Legends really, really makes sense. I’m intrigued to see where he goes from here.
