Let’s talk about Monday night’s TV!

THE VOICE: Okay, I’m absolutely fascinated that a song that didn’t win on SONGLAND (“Long Way Home,” which was featured during the Lady A episode) is, as I write this, #2 on the iTunes chart for THE VOICE finale.

I’m also intrigued the finale had two first-time cleared songs with Prince’s “Purple Rain” and Snow Patrol’s “Chasing Cars.” Was it really due to the artists? The Prince estate and Snow Patrol being more lax due to the world? Big swings, either way, because certainly both songs are very known at this point.

SONGLAND: Man, “That’s a Country Song” ABSOLUTELY needs to be made by someone. (Maybe a solo artist? Could see Luke Bryan or a Kelsea Ballerini killing it.) The song they chose was fine, but I spent most of the episode bummed “TACS” wasn’t chosen. (Especially after Florida Georgia Line and all of the producers seemed to be so into it.
