THE TWILIGHT ZONE’s second season was star-studded—with the show boasting Morena Baccarin, Kylie Bunbury, Jenna Elfman, Ethan Embry, Sky Ferreira, Tavi Gevinson, Topher Grace, Tony Hale, Gillian Jacobs, David Krumholtz, Thomas Lennon, Sophia Macy, Natalie Martinez, Joel McHale, Chris Meloni, Gretchen Mol, Paula Newsome, Billy Porter, Jimmi Simpson, Jurnee Smollett, Daniel Sunjata, and Damon Wayans Jr. in the ten episodes—but like every anthology series, there were high and low points.
We ranked the season 2 episodes (from worst to best), but note this is spoilery for the installments and the twists may be discussed…
#8: "Among the Untrodden"
CBS All Access' take: Transfer student Irene’s (Sophia Macy) unusual interests make her an easy target at her new all-girls boarding school until she discovers that popular classmate Madison (Abbie Hern) possesses a unique talent. Written by Heather Anne Campbell, directed by Tayarisha Poe.
Our take: The dynamic between Macy (daughter of William H. Macy and Felicity Huffman) and Hern was compelling, but the predictable twist felt like a letdown.
