About Last Night…THE VOICE and BIG SKY

Let’s talk about Tuesday night’s TV!

THE VOICE: Wow, was this a weird finale. Excluding the outcome itself, it felt odd to end the season this way. There were so, so, so many big guests, which is on par for these shows, but generally the show is good about weaving finalists into the performances. With COVID restrictions, it really just felt like a concert for most of the first 100-ish minutes of the show until the results were quickly dispensed.

BIG SKY: I figured one of our two (apparent) villains would be dying in the winter finale, and goodbye to Rick. He is actually the more interesting person to die, because without him, Ronald is…a true wild card. How dangerous will he become, assuming Cassie and the women get out of this mess intact and free? (And we’re suspicious of the officer who was defending Rick, right? Because, uhhhhh, that seemed more than just concern for a fellow officer.)

This really felt like a good halfway mark through the season. I remain cautiously optimistic about what the show will look like with its additional episodes.
