FBI, BATWOMAN, THE ROOKIE

“Crazy Love” – A shooting at a quinceañera leaves two dead, but the team believes they may not have been the intended targets. Also, Maggie is trapped between a rock and a hard place as the team decides the best plan of action for using a witness to take down the suspect, on FBI, to be broadcast immediately following the AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME, Sunday, Jan. 24 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET; 9:00-10:00 PM, CT; 8:00-9:00 PM, MT; 7:00-8:00 PM, PT) on the CBS Television Network. (Time is approximate after post-game coverage). This is the first original FBI episode of 2021.

Let’s talk about Sunday night’s TV!

FBI: OA being passive aggressive when talking about Maggie’s boyfriend was…perfect. What a mess. I’m glad A) Maggie did support OA professionally, and B) OA did retract his criticism when Nestor came through for them. I don’t really think Maggie and Nestor will go the distance—nor do they need to—but I’m glad he’s not a trash person and won’t be getting in the way of her partnership.

BATWOMAN: Alice remains the best villain in the ARROWverse, but the show has lost something with her no longer going toe-to-toe with her sister. But Ryan has been an incredible addition. (I guess the one good thing about Alice losing Kate is that now she is tormenting Mary? Poor Mary.)

CARD SHARKS: Uh, John was kind of an ass as a player? I really hate poor sportsmanship, and it’s one thing to be quietly happy, but actively rooting against your competitor every single time is just a bad look. But then he said he wanted to use his winnings to help with the homeless population in LA, so he’s not an a jerk in life, just in the game. (It absolutely feels like his game karma bit him in that final round.)

THE ROOKIE: Ugh, Jackson. I feel awful for him. But will that message he left for Grey be enough to clear him, eventually? (Also, speaking of Grey, Luna is a badass and I love her?!)

There’s no grey area where Stanton is concerned, though, and it’s clear he’s a danger to the force and the city. What will it take for him to actually be removed? (Though I appreciated Tim indicting why it’s dangerous to turn him in because the police union is there to protect him, and if he comes back with a chip on his shoulder, that makes him even more dangerous. These things can’t just be fixed with a snap, as nice as it would be.)

My weekly plea: Protect Angela and that baby at all costs.

Just when I was thinking Nolan and his mother were once again mirroring Castle and his mother, things got super dark and really sad. How absolutely messed up that his mother was so cruel and hurtful. (Not to mention dangerous to his career and his colleagues.)
