Let’s talk about Tuesday night’s TV!

ZOEY’S EXTRAORDINARY PLAYLIST: Man, Max’s storyline with his father broke my heart.

And GO SIMON. I’m sure this is going to lead to a lot of hardships for him, because he put himself in the crosshairs with the press, but he deserves to come out of this as unscathed as possible.

PRODIGAL SON: I. Loved. This. Episode.

First of all, Martin being mixed in with everyone is always fun, though it’s something they can understandably only do sparingly. But a murder happening at the hospital makes perfect sense and allowed for delightful dynamics. (Poor Gil, but Gilly made me laugh out loud.) And Malcolm and his father having it out in therapy, albeit with some fictional undertones was delightful. As was their fighting while crime-solving. (And, it was also really, really, really important that Gil reminded Edrisa that for as charming as Martin is, he’s a serial killer.)

But. That ending. That ending. It was incredible. I spent all episode waiting for Ainsley to put things together, but, nope, it was Jessica, who took the steps to find out what her kids were hiding. And then she was devastated to learn that not only did her kids cover up a murder, it was actually Ainsley who did the actual killing. (For more on what comes next, Bellamy Young broke down the episode and what’s ahead.)

NURSES: Anyone else do a full-body flinch when the poor baby cried after being snipped?  No? Just me. Okay.

Is it bad I found it a little amusing that Nic crashed the nurses’ party as Grace’s aunt? But, God, I loved the scene with all of them as Grace finally broke down and shared the truth about Dr. Hamilton. The way her friends/colleagues immediately supported and believed her warmed my heart.

BIG SKY: Oh, we’re going full-on PSYCHO, huh? Help. Ronald with his dead mom is going to be creepy as hell.

But with Cassie and Jenny now, potentially, having him cornered is a whole other problem. I’m a little skeptical, though, because clearly what appeared to be Rick’s death wasn’t. So will Ronald find a way to wiggle out of this?
