Let’s talk about Monday night’s TV!

THE VOICE: Kelsea Ballerini was a lot of fun, and I’m really curious how much input Kelly Clarkson had on her team. Like, we heard Kelly on the phone, but was Kelly getting feeds of what was airing in case someone really knocked it out of the park? There’s never any good time for a coach to be gone, but this just feels like such a tough time for a coach to have no real input on their own team.

AMERICAN IDOL: I don’t know if it was actually stacked with contestants I care more about, or the editing just felt better, but overall I enjoyed this episode a lot more than Sunday’s. Willie Spence is still one of the top performers for me, but I was really pleasantly surprised by how fun Colin Jamieson was?

It felt like the results was a little less cruel this go-round, but the Drake game felt so harsh? Like, it’s bad enough he didn’t make it through, again, but to make it so he was one-on-one with the person who got the last spot? Ouuuuuuch.

DEBRIS: Okay, Anson knowing that song was creepy as hell?! WTF. I’m so curious to learn more about him and what the heck is going on.
