Let’s talk about Sunday night’s TV!

THE SIMPSONS: Poor Lisa. I assumed her imaginary friend would have grown up to be, uh, a mess and not cool, but did not think he would be such a be such a disaster.

AMERICAN IDOL: It started off really rocky, but that was a better group of performances than we’ve seen all year. Willie, Cassandra Coleman, Deshawn Goncalves, and Hunter Metts were my top performances of the night. It feels like it’s Willie’s show to lose, but we’ll see how the next few weeks go.

THE GREAT NORTH: Never meet your heroes! Poor Beef and Wolf. Tusk was a disaster. But, hey, at least that bad experience inspired Beef to buy the rest of DYNASTY for his family.

BOB’S BURGERS: Of course a four-car fender bender led to mayhem. And Bob took the brunt of it.

ZOEY’S EXTRAORDINARY PLAYLIST: I feel absolutely awful for Emily. I know she got to go out, but, man, I really hope she gets the support, love, and help she deserves.

I am glad Zoey is going to therapy, too, though, because…she is not handling anything well. (Not to mention it it extraordinarily selfish to start a relationship with Simon while withholding this huge, relationship-shifting secret from him. Yes, it will change things. Yes, their relationship will always be imbalanced. But it’s not fair to have that dynamic and also withhold it from him.)

FAMILY GUY: Well, I laughed out loud at the Richard Marx bit and the callback to Peter stubbing his knee. And how perfect that Lois and Peter could quasi-pass as young parents…but technology did them in.

THE ROOKIE: I loved this episode. It made sense Nolan would inspire other people who thought they could do what he did, but…it also makes sense it’s not as easy as it seemed.

And Tim’s approach to his new partner was really beautiful and showed what a great teacher he could be. I wish she hadn’t opted to leave, but I got her reasoning. I hope we do see her again.

Also, uh, how worried should we be about Henry?
