About Last Night…THE FLASH, FBI, NEW AMSTERDAM, and More

Let’s talk about Tuesday night’s TV!

THE FLASH: Well, Frost’s idea to be locked up for the rest of her life rather than have her powers stripped from her was brilliant, but JFC how absolutely horrific (and plausible) that kind of forcible “treatment” could be. (But, also, there’s gonna be a twist at some point, I assume?)

Of course Barry’s “mother” would betray him. Of course.

PRODIGAL SON: Okaaaaaaaaaay, Vivian.

I’m worried about Malcolm. His conflicted feelings about Martin absolutely make sense, but his frantic run into the house when he thought his father was shot broke my heart. I also worry about Dani and Malcolm’s relationship, because it feels like she may be the only one he’s truly being (willingly) honest with, and that’s not entirely fair for her, either. (For more on what’s to come, here’s what Aurora Perrineau had to tease about what’s to come.)

FBI: Goodness, Jubal needs a break. I’m glad they were preemptive with saying that the odds were good his son would beat the leukemia, but how absolutely awful. And then for it to be going down as he had to try and talk down a father who had gone to a very bad (and very dangerous) place to try and save his son? And have it be a mission he ultimately, quasi, failed? Ugh. Poor Jubal. But Jeremy Sisto was incredible.

NEW AMSTERDAM: I say this almost every week, but I want to live in the world NEW AMSTERDAM imagines we could have. The pipeline for Native American doctors is such an incredible concept, and I hope this pays off a few seasons down the line, when we see the fruits of Max’s labor.

Also, uh, do friends normally talk that close? I’m sorry, Helen, I’m a little skeptical. (And…did not see that Bloom twist coming.)
