NEW AMSTERDAM’s Reynolds (Jocko Sims) and Malvo (Frances Turner) took another step back in their relationship on the Tuesday, June 1 episode, as the duo got closer…but Reynolds insisted he couldn’t move forward.

“It is a battle between head and heart, right?” Turner says in the video below. “And does he believe himself when he says that it’s over? Does she believe him? She knows what she feels and there’s no way that he can’t be feeling what she’s feeling because there’s this connection. What do you do with that? Is it easy to just say, ‘Forget it.’ Maybe if it’s not a person that you see all the time at work.”

But, naturally, the story isn’t quite over.

“I just will tease that the fans will be left a little, perhaps, maybe unsatisfied in some respects—in a healthy way, like making you tune into the next season,” Sims says. “And then, and then some things will definitely get resolved and answered regarding this relationship as well.”

Watch the video for more from the duo…
