NEW AMSTERDAM Exclusive Clip: Max Panics Over His Lost Wedding Ring

On the Tuesday, June 8 season finale of NEW AMSTERDAM, Max (Ryan Eggold) panics when he discovers he’s lost his wedding ring. (Max’s wife, Georgia, died in season 2.)
Reynolds (Jocko Sims) comes across his friend frantically going through the hospital’s laundry, and notes that Max didn’t have it on that morning. “I guess I just assumed you took it off on purpose,” he says in the exclusive clip below.
Max shares that he didn’t intentionally remove the ring: “It still means something, I guess. It’s everything we had, you know? It can’t just be gone.”
Reynolds shared that he felt similarly about the ring he gave his ex-fiancee, Evie. “I realized wasn’t hanging on to Evie’s ring because she still had a big piece of my heart—I was hanging on to it because she didn’t,” he shares. “The ring wasn’t about our love anymore. It was about my guilt.”
