Let’s talk about Tuesday night’s TV!

FBI: In some ways, it’s crazy OA was able to put off the discussion about possibly leaving the FBI for so long. But at the same time, we knew he wasn’t going to do it…and Mona doesn’t seem like she’s going to be able to be able to stick around in the aftermath of him choosing to stay.

FBI: INTERNATIONAL: Tank for everything. Always.

I do appreciate that Jamie and Scott fought about him being overprotective, and she fought for the right to do her job—and given the timing of it, he wasn’t just concerned about her as his girlfriend. Even if he was only her boss, it would have been fair to be wary.

(Scott’s mom is going to be a problem.)

NEW AMSTERDAM: Man, this has been a very slow exit process for Max and Helen. (I mean, we know they’re not leaving the hospital, but the show is playing this time a lot slower than I would have expected.) Dr. Fuentes is…a mess. There should have been a way bigger fallout from her essentially threatening EMTs?! And poor Iggy…if something goes wrong there, it’s going to break him.

I do love how the show handled Max and Helen’s relationship conversations. They may have been friends for years, they may have cared/loved each other for a while, but the fact is, they went from being friends to being super serious/moving together to a different country. They are in a love bubble, but especially with Luna being reliant on them, they need to have conversations about where this is going, what they want from each other and their future, and their family histories. So many shows bypass it—and then we get the awkward, “Wait, you don’t want kids??” fighting post-marriage storylines—so I’m glad they’re…talking. (A novel idea, I know.)

FBI: MOST WANTED: Okay, Tim DeKay was terrifying?? It’s weird to say this case/investigation was one of my favorites because it was absolutely twisted as hell, but it was compelling and made me want to rewatch the episode, which is always a good thing.

I’m also liking the baby steps toward the new team gelling together. Hana was gone for so long and Kristin has joined/settled in pretty fast. But I liked Hana checking in with her established people (even though Kenny is gone…I’m glad they haven’t stopped talking about him) to get a feel for the new group. Also, uhhhhhh, are they going to pursue Hana and Ortiz?!
