Let’s talk about Tuesday night’s TV!

FBI: Uh oh, Maggie channeled her inner Olivia Benson when sibling trouble impacted an active case. I’m glad Jubal and Maggie had an honest conversation: Yeah, he should have pulled her off the case, but, also, yikes, she was lucky it wasn’t worse/people didn’t die.

THE VOICE: The performance from Team Kelly was so, so good.

I said this yesterday, but the top 13 was stacked and it was never going to be an easy cut. I don’t know if the right people went home, but I also don’t know if I would have felt better if anyone else left, either.

THE FLASH: Okay, Brandon Routh doing the Superman move to go run to change into his Atom costume…my heart, man.

The hour was a lot more set-up than I expected, but it’s a five-episode event, so there’s certainly still a lot more to come.

FBI: INTERNATIONAL: Oh Jamie, that was…a risk. I get why she guided the father to take the fall for a crime his daughter killed, but she clearly wasn’t as subtle as she thought she was.

We’ve spent so much time on Scott’s family mystery—which I’m always game for—the Jamie stuff was almost a blindside. It makes a lot of sense she’s running from trauma and her mom would struggle with her being so far away.

NEW AMSTERDAM: If you come at the queen, you best not miss…and ooooooh boy, Max and Karen missed when they came at Fuentes. Fuentes leaving would have been a shakeup, but at least a good foundation for Max and Helen to leave the hospital with. Now? Yikes. (Also, how many more people can this hospital lose?!)

Reynolds just accidentally blew up Bloom’s life and he didn’t even realize it… (Which, let’s be fair, is good. Leyla deserves to not be lied to about how she got her job.)

[For more on the episode, here’s what Jocko Sims had to say.]

FBI: MOST WANTED: I really loved the quasi-change in format as there was an element of whodunnit. I know it can’t work often—as they noted, this case became a MW one because of the fame attached to the victim—but it was really effective here, and Romeo Brown was fantastic as Sonny.
