Let’s talk about Monday night’s TV!

THE VOICE: This is an interesting finale, because I feel like I would be okay if four of the five acts won. I have a favorite, I have a few who I think should be major stars no matter what, but it feels like there are cases to be made for most of them. (But, also, there were some gutsy song choices in the finale. Whitney? Adele? Normally, you should try to avoid those artists…I’m curious to see the positioning of the finalists, even outside of who wins.)

AMERICAN AUTO: Comedies are notoriously difficult to get right from the get-go, and I think NBC was really smart to pair the first two episodes of the show together. I enjoyed the pilot and wanted to see more, but episode 2 had me literally laughing out loud. (Apparently I find knowing a lot about serial killers funny. Who could have guessed?) And Katherine trying desperately to stop the bad press and consistently making things worse was just amusing. I’m really excited about where this show can go; fingers crossed it can keep this up.
