DON'T FORGET THE LYRICS, BEAT SHAZAM, and CLAIM TO FAME

CLAIM TO FAME – “A Blind Dog in a Meatshed” – After a dramatic Guess Off, the remaining four housemates grapple with loyalty, betrayal and their moral compasses while inching closer to victory. The challenge tests the contestants’ knowledge about the celebrity relatives with clues pointing to their nicknames, careers, celebrity romances and TV appearances. For a second week in a row, the winner does not receive immunity but does receive the final wine room clue. The final Guess Off before the finale is an emotional one in the penultimate episode of “Claim to Fame,” airing MONDAY, SEPT. 5 (10:01-11:00 p.m. EDT), on ABC. (ABC/John Fleenor)

Let’s talk about Monday night’s TV!

DON’T FORGET THE LYRICS: My goodness, that first contestant was not kidding when she did not know U.K. songs. Not knowing “Your Song”?! And yet she still was able to walk away with a good chunk of money.

It’s kind of awful the episode ended on a cliffhanger, because, uh, it’s going up against the Emmys next week.

BEAT SHAZAM: This is not my first time complaining about this, but to have “Valerie” and “Since U Been Gone” RIGHT after DFTL used the songs, too? Mess! Swap episodes!!!

But not a surprise it was a feel-good ending to the finale. Good for the women for risking it and winning the $152k.

CLAIM TO FAME: Well, the timing of it being crystal clear who Logan is related to sure is awkward/awful! (I’m on Team Maren Morris, in case there was an iota of doubt.)

If you know your pop culture, this game was verrrrrrry telling. Honestly, the most obscure clues might have been Logan’s, but that’s literally only if you didn’t know his exact person. (I mean, Brittany Kerr isn’t really that connected to any other country star, so…if you know who Jason Aldean is married to, it would have snapped into place/removed all doubt.)

Pepper is so lucky she listened to LC and chose Cindy Crawford as Lark’s relative. But, also, I thought Pepper was initially trying to mislead Logan, but she really, really seemed to believe it that Drake was lit up, based on her confessional?! Oy…
