Let’s talk about Monday night’s TV!

THE VOICE: Wow to Team Camila’s Andrew Igbokidi. What a strong start to the episode.

Cara Brindisi choosing to do “All Too Well” was a bold choice. The people who know it know it—and almost certainly have VERY STRONG feelings about it (guilty)—and I’m also shocked she got the rights to perform it. I almost wish she had saved this for a later round if she wanted to do it, but alas. Will be curious to see where she goes from here, especially with Gwen as her coach.

Team Legend’s Morgan Taylor killed it to close out the night with “Cuz I Love You.” Frankly, it shouldn’t have worked, but it was great.

(I do kind of hate we’re frequently getting John vs. Camila and Blake vs. Gwen. It makes sense, but…)

QUANTUM LEAP: Okay, so what thing/event from Addison’s past is Ben hiding and trying to go to see? (This is a wild guess, but you’d think he’d tell his fiancee about anything else?!)

This was another case of the week I was not exactly grabbed by, but I’m still digging the characters…especially Addison and Ben. (The rest of the team is good, too, but them being so limited in what they can do within the leaps is going to be a fascinating challenge to see how the show balances going forward.) I’m still hoping it can take the half-step forward I feel like it needs, and hopefully it’ll get there in the next few episodes.
