Let’s talk about Wednesday night’s TV!

CHICAGO MED: I’m so happy for April and Ethan that their wedding went off without any major blowups. When so much was revealed ahead of time, I was a bit worried.

The new boss at the ED feels like it’s going to be an absolute mess for the doctors. And with Ethan gone, I’m curious who will step up to be a stabilizing force for the doctors. (Especially with Archer going through health things and Goodwin possibly battling bigger issues.)

I appreciate that Charles was very cognizant of the potential power imbalance at work, because it could be messy. But Goodwin was right—she doesn’t directly work for him, so it’s only (really) awkward if/when they split.

CHICAGO FIRE: Okay, we logically know that Stella is going to be fine, but that image of Severide panicking in the moments before the explosion is going to haunt me. May they be reunited with minimal injury ASAP, please.

PROTECT JAVI CRUZ, WRITERS. GUARD THAT CHILD WITH YOUR LIFE, FIREHOUSE 51. (The adoption ceremony made me a tiny bit emotional, can you tell?)

I know Emma helped Carver here, but, um, I don’t trust her. Not even a little bit. And I’m worried what kind of danger she’s going to be to our guys down the road.

(I did laugh out loud at Herrmann being sent to Miami, Ohio. Gallo, buddy, you tried.)

CHICAGO P.D.: Well, I was worried about Upton before, but it’s increased by a whole lot now. I’m glad Voight overrode her wishes and called in Sean’s injury so it could be treated, but Upton is in a dark place and really, really needs someone supportive to help her through this. And with the distraction of this case gone, I worry what will happen when she’s forced to face Halstead’s absence in a real way.

(It also feels like Sean knowing she was willing to let him die could be a tool he uses against her in the future, and I worry what that figurative sword over her head could do to her. Sigh.)
