About Last Night…THE VOICE

Let’s talk about Monday night’s TV!

THE VOICE: Sometimes it’s easy to say who should be the winner on a show like this. (See: Iam on AMERICAN IDOL just yesterday.) For this batch of THE VOICE contestants? I truly have no clue. I don’t think there’s a bad or undeserving winner at this point, which is good/bittersweet. (Because it’s great when there’s not the potential to be only one right answer, but then you want to find a way for everyone to win.)

If I had to guess right now? Well, I’d never underestimate a Blake Shelton contestant, especially in his final season with the show. But based on (unscientific) reaction to the show’s official social media posts, Team Niall’s Gina Miles seems to be getting a significantly larger portion of fan interaction on her performances. Will that translate to success? TBD!

But, also, how incredible was Alex Newell?!? If you watched GLEE or ZOEY’S, their extraordinary vocals are nothing new, but great to see them get their flowers on a stage like this, performing a number from SHUCKED.
