About Last Night…STARS ON MARS, CRIME SCENE KITCHEN, and WEAKEST LINK

Let’s talk about Monday night’s TV!

STARS ON MARS: This show is ridiculous and I loved the first episode. I’m curious what it looks like in week 2, because so much of the premiere was introducing the contestants and setting up the premise and facility. So by the time they got to the first mission and elimination, it didn’t really feel like there was enough to work with on who should go home. (The contestants had obviously been there for a few days, but still.)

CRIME SCENE KITCHEN: I find this show to be delightful, both as (clearly) a fan of procedural shows and someone who enjoys desserts. Would I be good at it? Hell no. I can confidently say I would be absolutely terrible at this show. I wouldn’t even know where to start with the clue of saltines. (I didn’t even know there was a pie with a saltine crust!)

Can’t wait to see the professional bakers next week and see if they’re tasked with something more difficult and how many of them get it right.

It’s bittersweet, but I’m also liking all the contestants so far. I didn’t want any of the bakers to go yet.

WEAKEST LINK: I GASPED when Lili didn’t know Rosa Parks. And then she won?! Oh my God.

But overall it was actually a really fun episode. It seemed a lot less heated than other episodes; everyone there just seemed to want to have fun.
