Let’s talk about Monday night’s TV!
THE VOICE: What a fun premiere. It’s always a bit of a gamble when a new coach debuts, but Kelsea Ballerini was delightful and fit right in.
It was a good group of contestants, and it was lovely to see Iris come back.
And how delightful that Jadyn Cree actually auditioned and made it through. (I’m so curious if she stays on the same team during the show or if she ends up on Team Legend or Team Adam at some point down the line.) Bryan Olesen was really great on the show—and had a lot of success—so fingers crossed his daughter can have the same journey.
Arguably one of the most interesting reveals is that the Coach Replay can be used when other coaches have already turned their chairs. It’s a gamble given you only get one—and, look, it also means someone who didn’t get any chairs turned won’t get that chance. But I’m glad to know it’s a possibility and I’m curious to see how the other coaches use theirs later this season.
(Loved we got a coach performance to kick off the season, too!)
