Jelly Roll has joined AMERICAN IDOL season 23 in the newly created role of “Artist in Residence.”
The singer—who served as a mentor on the series last season—will become “a permanent fixture this season and will work closely with the IDOL hopefuls, giving them firsthand advice on how to navigate the journey.”
Jelly Roll will first join this season during Hollywood Week.
AMERICAN IDOL will have a special preview of the season following the OSCARS telecast on Sunday, March 2. The season officially begins on Sunday, March 9.
Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie, and Carrie Underwood serve as judges on the new season, which is once again hosted by Ryan Seacrest.
