Let’s talk about Monday night’s TV!
AMERICAN IDOL: Structure-wise, with so many contestants singing for their lives, it would have been nice if they saved those in jeopardy for the end. (Especially since those who made it through were essentially just singing a victory lap number.) By the time they did the results, it felt like I had forgotten half of the people were in danger. And when you’re having the biggest cut of the live rounds, there should have been more weight to it.
But, largely, it feels like the right people made it through? At least we’re only losing two people next cut, so hopefully it feels a bit better paced.
