GROSSE POINTE GARDEN SOCIETY Exclusive Clip: Brett and Melissa Contemplate Their Future

As Brett (Ben Rappaport) tries to hide the aftermath of the (disastrous) gala on GROSSE POINTE GARDEN SOCIETY, it could impact his future with Melissa (Nora Zehetner).

In an exclusive clip from the Friday, May 9 episode, “The Fallow Period,” Melissa stops by with the kids and wants to talk with Brett, who is clearly distracted.

“How late were you out?” Melissa asks in the video below.

“I lost track,” he says.

“Who were you with?” she asks.

“Uh, friends,” he replies.

Brett tries to brush it off by saying he was drunk, but that just hurts Melissa more. “Is that why you pulled me on the dance floor? Because you were so drunk?”

“I’m just really freaked out,” he replies. She says she is, too, but it doesn’t mean they can’t try again. But he pushes her away and says it’s complicated.

Melissa gets understandably upset about his change of heart. “I kind of can’t understand what changed literally overnight,” she says. And when Brett can’t explain things further, Melissa acknowledges it was probably a lost cause anyway.
