Kelli Giddish is returning to LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT as a series regular, sources have confirmed to Give Me My Remote.

Giddish joined the long-running series in 2011, portraying Amanda Rollins as a regular through 2022. After her season 24 series regular exit, she appeared in the three-part SVU-ORGANIZED CRIME season finale in 2023, plus two SVU season 25 guest spots, and in five episodes during season 26. Rollis has currently been serving a sergeant in the Intelligence unit.

SVU season 27 will have a lot of changes: Showrunner David Graziano is exiting, alongside longtime writer/executive producer Julie Martin. Directing-executive producer Norberto Barba is stepping back as an EP, but he’s expected back to direct. (Michele Fazekas, a former SVU writer, will serve as the season 27 showrunner.) Series regulars Octavio Pisano and Juliana Aidén Martinez are also not returning for season 27.

Deadline was first to report the casting.
