Adam Lambert: Top 8 “Mad World” | American Idol

April 7, 2009 by

AMERICAN IDOL went over tonight…way over. Those of us watching on our DVRs missed the final performance of the night from Adam Lambert. Thankfully the wonderful people over at Rickey.org posted the performance so we can see what Fox denied us.

AMAZING!!!

A standing ovation from Simon Cowell. That’s not something you see….ever!

Oh m’lord! My favourite Idol and one of my favourite songs of all time. I love that he chose the Gary Jules arrangement from Donnie Darko (awesome movie). Just so, so good – and I find it a little bit endearing that even in such a toned-down song he still threw in a trademark Adam mini-scream. 🙂

Oh, and the video that introduced it? I love him and his parents. He’s just so adorable (and tiny Adam dressed up like a business man? so cute).

  2. Derik on April 7th, 2009 11:42 pm

Wow…first off, also one of my favorite songs. I’m really glad he kept the arrangement “toned down”. Even though we all know Adam can sing, it was a great choice to show off his voice in a different way and to keep it mellow and not disturb the attitude of the song. Job well done man…

  3. sheila on April 8th, 2009 12:03 am

a star is born!!!! amazing watched it 3xs and this needs to be recorded wow!!!

  4. fabianna on April 8th, 2009 12:03 am

thanks so much to the people at Rickey.org!adam has an incredible voice, and even people who find him “creepy” can’t seem to deny that.the song on its own is great, and as always he managed to take it to the next level!amazing performance to keep us all on our toes!keep it coming! 😀

  5. Ann on April 8th, 2009 12:04 am

i am soo glad you have the video clip!!!!! i didn’t get to see it live because the show ran long!!! WOW, Adam is breathtaking! thanks!

  6. Kimberly Gorglione on April 8th, 2009 12:09 am

That performance sent chills up and down my spine. It was amazing. Very touching and emotional. I’ve been watching it over and over and his stance onstage reminds me of “The Thinker.” Very theatrical. I wonder if he had any intention of using the image of that famous sculpture in his presentation tonight? It worked!

  7. Kris on April 8th, 2009 12:16 am

This performance was absolutely amazing! I was so excited to see Adam singing “Mad World” because I adore that song! I could watch this performance over and over again!

  8. BrittanyLUVSADAMLAMBERT! on April 8th, 2009 12:28 am

ADAM IS THE BEST WHY CAN’t THEY JUST GET RID OF EVERYBODY ELSE ANDKEEP ADAM ONLYY??

  9. Niki on April 8th, 2009 12:31 am

From all the TIVO DVR People…
    BLESS YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  10. Toby on April 8th, 2009 12:32 am

OK, this is weird, but at 61 my 16 year old Son has me watching Donnie Darko and now this guy Adam just blows me away with this song and whatever else he sings. Why bother to go on with this, just give him the prize and cut some records already! For those that think he is somehow strange, you never saw Elvis perform in his early days!

  11. Jamie Tarter on April 8th, 2009 12:38 am

Adam is SOOOO awesome!!!! I just love him and his performance tonight was EXCELLENT!!! He deserves the American Idol Title, Hands Down!!! Thank you so much to rickey.org for posting this performance b/c I was so ticked tonight when my DVR stopped right before his performance b/c he is my FAV!!! GO ADAM…YOU ROCK!!!!

Thanks so much!! I had smoke coming out of my ears when I realized Adam wasn’t taped!! Great job ADaM!

  16. Miichelle on April 8th, 2009 12:54 am

I too was unable to catch Adam’s performance because of my DVR, and I would like to thank you for posting the video up! Adam’s performance was amazing! Mad World is definitely one of my favorite all time songs, and his performance gave me goosebumps. He’s got to win!

  17. stacey on April 8th, 2009 12:55 am

    flawless, poignant,emotional,perfect!

  18. Amber on April 8th, 2009 12:56 am

I pegged him from the get go! It will be down to him and Alison! He is by far the better one. Brilliant! Talent! Amazing! And a hottie to boot!

  19. Ken on April 8th on April 8th, 2009 12:58 am

I was upset when my DVR cut off before Adam sung. Thanks for posting this video. I’m 54 and this guy just blows me away. The music coming out these days is so boring, maybe Adam can change that.

  20. mfk on April 8th, 2009 12:58 am

Thanks for posting the video as we all had our FOX issues. Adam, incredible performance. This cat rocks and has elevated the GAME. There are a couple of other very talented singers, but Adam owns the season hands down. Well done and keep it original dude.

  21. susan on April 8th, 2009 12:59 am

Thanks ricky.org for posting the video. was totally bummed when i missed adam (the next American Idol winner) on dvr. thank you!

  22. Kelli on April 8th, 2009 1:02 am

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! I’m one of those people who DVR’s Idol every week so I missed the last performance of the night – and Adam Lambert is my favorite! I can’t wait to see what that guy is going to do every week…unique yet fantastic time after time! Again…THANK YOU

  23. Lisa on April 8th, 2009 1:05 am

i cant believe there was ever a moment when u had to struggle to get in the entertainment business. obv its their loss for not recognizing raw talent. and good for u for taking a chane w/ american idol! because u r undeniably a

  24. Lisa on April 8th, 2009 1:06 am

    A STAR!!!

  25. Nick on April 8th, 2009 1:07 am

Wow, 90 seconds is not fair. This guy should have a whole concert.
I just wait to hear 2 or 3 songs from Adam.
He is too good. The others should just go home, so that we can enjoy the American Idol : Adam Lambert

  26. Jules on April 8th, 2009 1:07 am

American Idol bites. I’m so pissed off that I DVR’d the show and missed my favorite contestant, Adam. As much as I like Danny and Matt, Adam is why I tune in. They all have talent, but he is the stand out original Artist. After over 20 years in the music industry, I feel my opinion counts. How many votes will he loose cuz the networkd f’d up. Karioke contest this is, maybe that’s the way they want it to stay. Bad, bad mistake. They just lost me. I wont’ even watch anymore, but will be sure to vote every week for Adam anyways same time, same test message address.

  27. jerri on April 8th, 2009 1:08 am

Adams song sent chills down my spine. Brilliant!!! I would love to buy his cd now, thats how great he is.

  28. Terri Nomura on April 8th, 2009 1:10 am

Thank you so much for posting Adams performance–its so frustrating when shows run over–they should cut off Paula’s rambling instead of the contestants! Adam was and is awesome but he’s almost in a league of his own and unfortunately the others barely stand a chance against him which is too bad, because most of the rest are also awesome in their own way. He’s just way beyond everyone else and could record and tour tomorrow!

  29. Maggie on April 8th, 2009 1:21 am

thank you for Adams performance. I can’t believe that they would run the show that much longer. I use my DVR so I don’t have to watch commercials and just start watching a little later. Isn’t there something we can do to complain about this?

  30. Veronica on April 8th, 2009 1:22 am

Thank you! I also missed the last part due to DVR…thanks again! He’s awesome!!!

  31. kathy on April 8th, 2009 1:23 am

Thank you, thank you rickey.org!! I was mid-way thru a minor meltdown about the dvr cut-off when hubby said, “Go check the internet, for God’s sake.” Love that song, love that boy. He had me with his take on “Ring of Fire”. What an amazing, talented performer!

  32. april on April 8th, 2009 1:27 am

Adam is so…… no words for that voice or the way he did that song. Phenominal seems to come to mind. I wish though that he would perform “I remember you” by Skid Row. I think he would totally rock it!

  33. robert zepeda on April 8th, 2009 1:29 am

Thank You So So Much for having tonights show on. We taped ours also on our dvr and missed adam, but thanks to you all we were able to see him. Thanks again.

  34. Daphne on April 8th, 2009 1:35 am

    THANK YOU Rickey.org…..

I ONLY looked for about 30 minutes to find this…..completely frustrated while I looked for this replay!!!
I agree with Terri…..the other contestants are good, some are even “great”, but Adam is “phenomenal”…..I was SO upset when our tape stopped, only to have to run to the Internet and try to find the video!!
If he still gets the votes, it’s only because people had to either trust their instincts and vote “sight unseen” or try and find the video in the 2 hour time allowed …..
Adam is an insanely good artist!!!!!!!!!
    Thank you again!!!

  35. robert on April 8th, 2009 1:36 am

WTF tevo on directtv and missed Adam’s performance. Thank you for posting it here. Directtv should give customers a free year year subscription for that blunder. Adam you rock! I am 46 years old and in my opinion the best vocal talent since ELVIS…..

  36. mrs lambert on April 8th, 2009 1:41 am

omg thank you so much for putting this on here!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you dont know how happy i am. my dvr cut it off and i didnt get to see adam at all! i was litterally almost crying! i looked forward to seeing him all week and then BAM the stupid dvr messed it up! man, i was soooo mad! when i saw this on here i was like OMG OMG OMG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thank you SOOOOOOOOOOOOO much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Freddy Mercury.
    This is epic

  38. Andrew G on April 8th, 2009 1:56 am

I think that Elvis has been reincarnated. It’s Adam!!!!! He’s the best
Too many similarities. Look at the facial features and smile. Elvis! Way to go Adam!

  39. pitimini on April 8th, 2009 1:56 am

I must say ADAM you are great!!! He is a UNIQUE singer! He reminds me of Freddy Mercury – a rare talented singer! I watch American Idol but never voted but this season I started voting ONLY for Adam Lambert!! Whenever I watch the Idol, I cant wait to see what AdamL is going to sing next! Adam you will win this contest and if not, we will still see you recording your own songs!

  40. JandA on April 8th, 2009 2:12 am

Thanks for the post! We were SO mad when we were watching DVR and our favorite ADAM wasn’t on there…. we came to you and seen the best performance of the night! THANKS!

  43. miche on April 8th, 2009 2:21 am

oh… and thanks so much for putting it here… just as the others, my DVR screwed it up and I was sooo upset. Glad I found it here, he is amazing. They should just end it tonight and give it to him already.

  44. maddie on April 8th, 2009 2:35 am

Great performance. I missed on Fox–DVR.

  45. maddie on April 8th, 2009 2:39 am

Fantastic performance. My DVR didnt record. I thought I missed the best…but thanks to this site. Adam is Wow.

  46. Yodie on April 8th, 2009 2:50 am

I thought the performance was great. He is a good singer but I dont think he can win it. Sorry

  47. Gabe on April 8th, 2009 2:51 am

I’m can’t say I’m in the times or pop culture. I rarely even watch Idol. I’m glad I didn’t miss today’s show. There has been many great songs on sung on Idol but man… this one… this one… is sublime. I’ve never heard the song, and it was a beauty. My hat goes off to this youngster who can capture the attention of those who did not have any previous attachment to the singer or the song. This is what a true talent should do and a what a true star does.

  48. Donna on April 8th, 2009 2:59 am

My Mom (82) and I (62) went to my TEVO recording after Dancing With The Stars and was blown away when my favorite, Adam, didn’t get recorded… Immediately went online and found rickey.org THANKS. Adam has been my favorite from the start and I, like so many people look forward to his interpretation of a song each week. When this Idol season is over, Adam will be a STAR…………

  49. dedee on April 8th, 2009 2:59 am

LOVE LOVE ADAM! SO HAPPY THAT WE GOT TO SEE HIS PERFORMANCE ON THE WEBSITE. LIKE EVERYONE ELSE, OUR DVR CUT OFF! MY SON AND I WERE WATCHING AND WE WERE SO UPSET IT WAS CUT OFF! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR PUTTING UP HIS PERFORMANCE! I WOULDN’T HAVE BEEN ABLE TO SLEEP! HE’S PHENOMENAL!!! CAN’T WAIT TO BUY HIS CD!

  50. Niki Congero on April 8th, 2009 3:19 am

Thanks for posting this, DVR missed the best preformance of the night! Thanks for running over FOX…NOT!

  51. Erik on April 8th, 2009 3:21 am

50 Comments already? This Adam guy is almost as popular as Chuck Bartowski! Seriously, this video showed off a level of sophistication that rivals any performance I have seen on any awards show or televised concert this year. The production staff of Idol deserves kudos for harnessing Adam’s creative streak and putting this package together. Encore!

  52. internetbabs on April 8th, 2009 3:29 am

~chimes in with the rest of the Tivo/DVR crowd~ omg!!! thank you so much for posting this, i was freaking!! And i was right, he has out done himself again. I have bought everything AI has on Itunes (i don’t have an ipod but i will soon) and can’t wait till he starts recording for real.

  53. andrew gibson on April 8th, 2009 3:36 am

This is the second time I looked up a performance from American Idol. First was Chakeezee when he did ‘Shes a Woman’. You’re in good company, Adam. Best of luck. Whatever the outcome, I will buy and or borrow your music til the end.

  56. efnsteve on April 8th, 2009 3:39 am

Absolutely brilliant performance by Adam, He blows all of the competition away including the previous seven years………….And thank you to the man who posted this for us

  57. andrew gibson on April 8th, 2009 3:43 am

Brit…. it’s one of those things. Can’t explain. Just sounded good.

  58. thea on April 8th, 2009 3:44 am

This man is one of the best singers I have heard with an impossible range. I really think that he will win with Danny Gokey runner up…. Just my intuition an 2 cents.
I am absolutely in love with the talent that GOD gave this young man!! Good for him!
    Go Adam!

  59. Isay on April 8th, 2009 3:45 am

THANK YOU SO MUCH for posting this. I was so frustrated to not have seen Adam’s preformance and was scrambling to find a recording somewhere. Googled it and found this site! Adam is my favorite idol ever!! I thought David Cook was great but Adam is is so much better! LOVE HIM!! And to have earned a standing ovation from Simon? wow…isn’t that a first?

  60. JF on April 8th, 2009 3:49 am

Thanks ricky.org!! I went through all of the other performances (on my DVR)waiting to see Adam and then……nothing, no Adam! Every week I wait to see him sing anxious to see what he does next and each week he blows me away with another stellar performance. I feel he has the vocal ability of only a hand full of performers in the world and they are known on a first name basis. How this guy flew under the radar is unreal. I’ve seen a few of his older performances and he’s toned down his flamboyant attitude which definitely helps in the mainstream. He doesn’t need to go over the top, his voice is amazing and he is truely in a class of his own and not just against the contestants on Idol.

He says on the Idol website that Lenny Kravitz is one of his favorite singers….if hes does a Lenny song….watch out! It will be sick! Stillness of heart or Calling all Angels would be good songs for him.

I can’t wait to hear an original song from him!

  61. jenjen on April 8th, 2009 3:49 am

sent chills through me. Even my Husband who hates AI stopped what he was doing to watch this performance. Another thing I noticed is that although Adam is creepy to some– he reminds me of a young Elvis in looks as well as individuality– you go Adam

  62. Jake on April 8th, 2009 3:52 am

I don’t get what record you people think this guy could make. He sings in way too high of a note all the time, and it’s on the brink of annoying. I can’t imagine hearing him for a whole CD. He’s a performer, not a recording artist.

  63. alanna on April 8th, 2009 4:19 am

omg i have loved adam from the beginning but he just gets better and better i really hope he wins this thing. and hope the rumors of him being gay are untrue (just for my own selfish hetero fantasies of him….lol) this dude will have a recording contract, i believe, even if he doesn’t win and i can’t wait for it!!!

  64. alanna on April 8th, 2009 4:25 am

oh yes< and thank you to whoever posted this, i was among the many, itseems, desperate to see adams performance since my tivo cut out when the show ran over. and whoever up there said danny gokey would be second to adam, i am kinda hoping the same (altho kris is pretty good too) but i have a mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaajjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr crush on danny. man i just wish i could find a guy like him over here in seatlle area. he is spritual, church-going, gorgeous (love the glasses!!!) and humble and i just love him to pieces!

  65. Jacquie on April 8th, 2009 5:07 am

I couldn’t believe that Fox would leave Adam’s performance of MAD WORLD for last. My DVR ran out at the end just like it did for many others. I would have much preferred to watch Adam’s performance on my big screen TV but thank goodness for the Internet and U Tube. I am 61 years old and absolutely love the way Adam Lambert sings. He is one of the very few artists that have moved me emotionally in many years. I listened to his performance of MAD WORLD over and over tonight and it brought tears to my eyes each time. Thank you Adam and shame on you Fox for letting time run out.

  66. Dennis on April 8th, 2009 6:23 am

He sings like someone that has been sucking helium.

  67. Give Me My Remote on April 8th, 2009 6:23 am

Holy moly. You all really love Adam. I don’t know about you but I can’t stop watching it!!

  68. Joyce L on April 8th, 2009 6:57 am

Words can’t describe the art that Adam Lambert brings to the stage. Although we have a few others that can sing, NOBODY brings the emotion, talent and heart that Adam Lambert has brought week after week. Thank you for the “goose bumps.” Shame on Fox for allowing the show to run over.

  69. Lori Crawley on April 8th, 2009 7:16 am

Thank you so much for putting this on!! I had to work and could not watch it!! Adam is awesome!!! He is hands down of being the best! I have never watched American idol until Adam came along!!! He rocks!!

  70. harry on April 8th, 2009 7:18 am

Adam is awesome, he is a true positive inspiration to all the kids out ther finding the niche in life and it doesn’t matter what you are are you can be sucessful. if I could vote I would but i’m not in america

  71. Bryan on April 8th, 2009 7:21 am

This was totally unreal. It’s easy to see that Adam has been performing for a long time but it is absolutely ridiculous that he has not been truly discovered. If you check youtube you will find a plethora of videos of him doing theater. Adam is going to be a huge huge star. Props to American Idol for being relevant and providing relevant people to the recording industry. It’s a shame Adam had to resort to American Idol but then look at how wide his audience is going to be. He is going to be an icon.

  72. Lee on April 8th, 2009 7:50 am

That was awesome, he is going to win.

  73. rey on April 8th, 2009 8:03 am

Hands down to Adam Lambert..truly an amazing singer..i could not wait him winning season 8 and buying his first album..no one else in this season is comparable..Adam is one the best singers AI have ever produced..he is in a different league…

  74. Robin on April 8th, 2009 8:03 am

Rickey.Org…. Thank You! You are awesome for letting us see Adam when our DVRs didn’t!

  75. BETTY BARBESEIN on April 8th, 2009 8:05 am

HE GAVE ME GOOSE BUMPS LAST NIGHT WATCHING ADAM LAMBERT HE WAS SO FANTASTIC. AND SIMON COWEL I HAVE NEVER SEEN HIM GIVING ANYONE A STANDING OVATION, WELL DONE SIMON TO DO THAT, AND WE ALL AGREE ADAM LAMBERT IS GOING TO BE A HUGE HUGE STAR. WAY TO GO ADAM, I CANT WAIT UNTIL NEXT WEEK TO SEE WHAT YOU WILL DO. IT IS A PITY THAT SOME OF THE VIEWERS DID NOT GET TO SEE ADAMS SONG, I JUST HOPE THAT DOES NOT INTERFERE WITH THE VOTING….I WILL BE WATCHING TO-NIGHT TO SEE WHO WILL BE ELIMINATED FROM THE SHOW.

  76. Sheila on April 8th, 2009 8:15 am

Just wanted to say thanks so much for posting Adam’s performance. I, like so many others, dvr’d it and when it cut off I was so upset so I’m glad I got to see his awesome performance.

  77. GMMR on April 8th, 2009 8:18 am

I don’t know who consulted on Adam’s look tonight but THIS is the look he needs to keep for the rest of the season. He looked so handsome last night.

  78. CASSIE on April 8th, 2009 8:20 am

I LOVE ADAM LAMBERT……HE HAS TO WIN…EVERYONE KEEP VOTEING AS MUCH AS U CAN PLEASE…

  79. Don Livingston on April 8th, 2009 8:29 am

I’ve watched A.I. from the beginning, but have really never showed as much interest as this year with Adam Lambert being apart of it.

America and the world are seeing a super star in the making.

I am in my 60’s, so you see this performer can reach all age groups………especially with the piece he did last night. Evently Simon agreed with a standing ovation.
    Donllivi

  80. kathy on April 8th, 2009 8:42 am

OMG jut amazing Adam is the only reason I tune in to american idol. Unfortunatley I had to work last night and missed idol. Thank you so much for posting this. Adam is just amazing . He is gonna win for sure . The others are not even in the same league.

  81. Sharon on April 8th, 2009 8:53 am

I a 50 year old grandmother and I think Adams HOT! I watched his performance last night and again today (3 times). Each time I was amazed how hauntingly beautiful and spine tinging it is. Adam is in a totally different league as the others and a true professional. I would love to hear Adam sign a Queen song, he would nail it!

  82. kreidy on April 8th, 2009 8:55 am

I haven’t been a fan of Adam so far this competition, but that was amazing. Bravo! And he deserved that standing ovation from Simon as well.

  83. Jaime on April 8th, 2009 9:01 am

Always have been an Allison and Danny fan….thought all the Adam hype was just that….HYPE. It”s true….his mind is genius and cannot be stopped. How did Broadway swallow this one up? I’ll give credit where credit is due…….

  84. cathainn on April 8th, 2009 9:22 am

OMG that was the most amazing performance EVER!!!! i will go see him in concert any day !! All I can say ius WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  85. Lydia on April 8th, 2009 9:25 am

I’ll buy whatever he sings. By far the best performer since day one, IMHO.

  86. Michele on April 8th, 2009 9:30 am

I just rewatched it to see if maybe I was missing something. I don’t know if it is because I don’t know the song, or if it was because it was all just a bit too high pitched, but I really just-don’t-like-it. To each his own, I guess, but I really don’t see what all the fuss is about…

  87. Bryan on April 8th, 2009 9:35 am

I feel bad for you michele that means you dont have an ear for good music and genius. It’s ok. There are plenty of people who sang the way Adam did last night right?

  88. Give Me My Remote on April 8th, 2009 9:38 am

Bryan, I think Michelle in entitled to her own opinion. Art is subjective. Let’s remember that.

  89. Lisa on April 8th, 2009 9:44 am

Thank you for the clip. I DVR cut off an 8:00. Adam is the best. That boy can sing. He brought tears to my eyes and chills down my spine. I fell so proud of him. You can tell by the look on his face. He can’t beleve it himself. The other contestants are good and some are great but I’m sorry, seriously they can not top him.
    Congrats! Adam, You’ve already won!

  91. CRAIG & SANDY on April 8th, 2009 10:07 am

Thank you, thank you, thank you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My wife and I were so frustrated …Really frustrated…She looked at the time remaining and said “I afraid we are not going to see Adam Lambert tonight” “That’s gonna really tick me off”.
I kept telling her that there is no way that they would let that happen, right?
WRONG ! I can see why Adam’s fans are concerned about the voting…We didn’t know what # to call. Anyway, there is not a chance that Adam would not make it Right ? Actually here is where The new “reprieve rule” for the judges would really come into play. Hey, it’s a Live Show….so why not add 1/2 hour on our Tivo or what ever method we have of recording and be safe. I’m sure everyone would want to see his talent in the “heat of the moment”.
Again, Thank you, Thank You, Thank You… for getting this performance on right away . Then a lot of us could get some sleep. I’m sure they are going to shoe Adam’s performance tomorrow night. But it was much better to see it tonight.

  92. Chrisie on April 8th, 2009 10:10 am

I am 48 years old and I love Adam. I have a 16 yo son who plays guitar and every week he only watches Idol to see Adam sing. To say that Adam is a force to be reckoned with is an understatement. For Simon to actually get out of his seat and give this unbelievably talented young man a standing ovation speaks volumes. It really is too bad that they just cannot say, “On tonight’s idol we are getting rid of everyone and telling the world that Adam Lambert is this years Idol”. I doubt that there would be anyone to argue the decision. If for some reason Adam does not win and that could only happen if the entire world lost its hearing at the same time, then I am convinced that Idol is fixed. This young man has an outstanding career ahead of him. his parents must be so proud of him!

    🙂 Chrisie

  93. vishal on April 8th, 2009 10:10 am

what i can’t understand is, how can someone like Adam stay un-discovered for so long ? I mean imagine, if it was not for American Idol we might never have heard him ….
frankly, for me, this competition is already over …Let’s just annoint him the king and be done with it.

  94. CRAIG & SANDY on April 8th, 2009 10:13 am

Please Forgive my spelling on my first post. I’m “under the gun” to get this out & they are turning up the heat to finish my project. But this is way more important.

Thanks so much for posting this. My daughter DVR’d American Idol last night and was heart-broken when the perfomance was not on her dvr. Her computer’s speakers are broken, so she came to my house last night to try to find it on the web, with no luck. I found your website this morning and called her and played it over the phone for her. She was thrilled. You made me a hero. Thanks again. You have done a great public service!!!!

  96. Nancy on April 8th, 2009 10:38 am

Adam is SOOOO creepy and weird and I don’t get it – can’t sing worth a darn! So many better people than him. Wish they had never picked him for the top 10. I guess he appeals to a certain audience, but he is certainly not the “American” Idol.

  97. ciny on April 8th, 2009 10:45 am

is this some sort of trick
the site didn’t show the whole video of adam
    a disappoitment

  98. Patti on April 8th, 2009 10:48 am

Thanks for posting it. I really wanted to see Adam again. Simon getting up for a standing ovation was a first I ever saw. Last year David Cook nailed Idol when he sang Phantom of the Opera. I think Adam just made idol last night with his version of Mad World. Can’t wait to hear his first album. He is going to rock.
PS I love Allison too. I hope she will be first runner up.

  99. julie on April 8th, 2009 10:51 am

    less talk…miche got it right

  100. Julia on April 8th, 2009 10:51 am

I’m a American Idol “virgin” and I totally agree with everyone above that Adam is unbelievable! I get shocked every week when I hear him with his AMAZING talent and stage presence. It’s really worth to sit and watch 55 minutes of boring stuff and judge chatter to hear what Adam will sing. LOVE THAT SONG!!!

  101. AdamAddict on April 8th, 2009 10:52 am

I love Adam so much! I live in Malaysia and we got to watch it here. I fall in love with him since his 1st audition and hope he going to make through because I can’t get enough with him. And he did!
Every week,I can’t wait for his performances and hate it when he going to be the last who perform.Loooove uuuu,Adam!

  102. Nicole on April 8th, 2009 10:59 am

WOW – I was the first to comment, then I come back to the site this morning and there are 100??? Is this the most you’ve ever had on one post, Kath? It’s the most I remember seeing. Way to go Adam for causing such a stir!!

  104. danyell on April 8th, 2009 11:11 am

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I was so angry when my dvr stopped and I didn’t see the one performance I waited an hour to see!!! As always Adam was amazing.

  105. Jennie on April 8th, 2009 11:21 am

I am a 47 year old mother of four and a preschool teacher. I just got a pacewmaker put in three weeks ago and when I see Adam perform I am afraid it is going to blow. This kid is amazing and he is always so humble when the judges critique. Last night when I realized my dvr was not going to let me see his performance, I voted anyway and then went to my computer to find it online. I was blown away by his haunting, beautiful, pure rendition of Mad World. If his chances are hurt and by sonme bizarre twist of fate he gets voted off, the judges will use their save. I am sure of it.

  106. Leslie on April 8th, 2009 11:29 am

I can’t believe how This kid sings. He is the most talented singer ever in all seasons of American Idol. Last night’s performance gave me chills and brought tears to my eyes.

  107. Thank You Soooooooo Much!! on April 8th, 2009 11:32 am

Yup…had my DVR on and totally missed the only singer I really cared about hearing!

  111. Ray on April 8th, 2009 12:05 pm

My friend called me at work to tell me that Idol ran over time and that Adams performance was cut. It felt like I had been kicked in the stomach. Thank you thank you thank you for posting his performace. What a talent

  112. Lisa Wolf on April 8th, 2009 12:08 pm

  113. Jodie on April 8th, 2009 12:15 pm

Thank you so much for posting, there was a hype about it but due to the DVR running out, I was unable to watch Adam’s performance.

I love the performance, but will he get enough vote since many people like me did not get a chance to see him perform. Well, good thing for the “save card”

    Thanks again!

SERIOUSLY THOUGH, he is FREAKISHLY AMAZING!! he is BY FAR the most original & current artist ever to grace the show. i CANT WAIT until adam puts out an album, itll be HUGE!!

  116. jackie on April 8th, 2009 12:40 pm

Dittos to most of what has been written. Adam is unique and a true talent. Iam 50 and have seen and heard some really great talent. The flow of talent over the years has dwindled. Adam gives me hope. Thanks for allowing us, that were denied, to veiw a true artist.

  118. Tina on April 8th, 2009 1:00 pm

Adam is really great, to those who assume he is gay, remember the saying ASSume and you will make an ASS out of u! I have a friend just like him and he is not gay at all, until he says he is gay dont say things like that, “they wont let a gay man win” thats terrible. If he is gay though he still can win this is American Idol not gotta be straight Idol!!!!!!

  119. Sharon on April 8th, 2009 1:05 pm

To: Toby on April 8th, 2009 12:32 am OK, this is weird, but at 61 my 16 year old Son has me watching Donnie Darko and now this guy Adam just blows me away with this song and whatever else he sings. Why bother to go on with this, just give him the prize and cut some records already! For those that think he is somehow strange, you never saw Elvis perform in his early days!

Okay Toby…..I’m almost 62, most definitely saw Elvis perform in his early days, and I think that Adam Lambert is PROFOUNDLY STRANGE!!!!! Any questions?

  121. cuda on April 8th, 2009 1:35 pm

Adam and Christina Agulara in a duet? That would be awesome!

Thanks for this, my DVR cut out as well.

Adam is amazing, nobody on the show is close, (love Alison to).

Give the man the title already!

  122. dallasok on April 8th, 2009 1:38 pm

  123. Dave Martin on April 8th, 2009 2:02 pm

Adam is a phenom in the way he performs and sings. The music industry has been filled with different charismatic characters such as Elvis, Liberachii, Elton John, David Bowie, Freddy Mercury, Mick, McArtney, Alice Cooper, Reba, Twain, Tina Turner and the list goes well on. Each performer has brought something different and yes at times strange to the table but were all respected for the immense talents which they possess and their fan base only attests to that fact. By the way I am 56 and my wife 52 …we would gladly go to see Adam Lambert live … and believe me I have seen many great bands and performances through my years. For those still lost in the Elvis era …let it go already. Every generation has it’s phenom … say Hi to the new one.

  124. willy on April 8th, 2009 2:07 pm

this kid is the most amazing performer in american idol history!………he brought that song back, I am 34 year old and this song is one of my fav of all times. but now my 18 year old brother is going crazy with it and so am I. i WILL BUY HIS CD RIGHT NOW!

  125. Tammy on April 8th, 2009 2:09 pm

Unbelievable! He sings from the heart with such conviction. Adams voice and stage presence is incredible week after week. Where has this guy been hiding?
A star has truly been born! Carrie Underwood has done great things since American Idol, just wait …Adam Lambert is going to take it to another level!

  126. Randi on April 8th, 2009 2:13 pm

  127. Sandra on April 8th, 2009 2:15 pm

  128. lucille on April 8th, 2009 2:15 pm

I have been watching American Idol since its first season and I must say that Adam Lambert tops every one of the winners by far. He is electrifying and so reminds me of the heart throb of my day,Elvis. Adam will go very far and I think he definetely has what it takes to be the second Elvis. This is coming from a 71 year old Grandma……Go Adam!!!!!

  129. Chayna on April 8th, 2009 2:17 pm

I think that America made a big mistake by sending him home. He had such a talented voice and I really liked his punk rock look. I miss him alot when I watch Idol next week.

I have been watching Americal Idol since its first season and I want to say no winner can top Adam Lambert. He is electrafying and reminds me so much of Elvis. He,in my opinion, is going to be our second Elvis. This is the comments of a 71 year old Grandma…..Go Adam!!!!

  134. Big D on April 8th, 2009 2:31 pm

I’m not into music like that really i’m more of a r&b guy, but that performance was hands down one of the best thats been on american idol congratulation

  135. Cleo on April 8th, 2009 2:43 pm

P A N I C ! ! ! That is what I felt when I did not get the end of Idol on my DVR because they ran over. I immediately went to the internet, afraid I would miss Adam’s performance. Thank goodness for this web site. What a beautiful rendition. Adam is truly a talented young man and deserves the best. I have another favorite but each week Adam digs into that committment because of his pure raw talent. Good luck to all!!!

  136. nathan on April 8th, 2009 2:56 pm

I gotta say thank you for showing Adam…..that was a breath taking performance…..I don’t care about who saw Elvis or how old you are he is brilliant maybe different but who cares this guy is so amazing and I’m sure by the responses most of america agree’s so who cares what one guy thinks I personally don’t care for the Bettles but to this 61 year old her probably thinks they are the best ever….the bettles set a trend because they were the weird guys with the long hair and people at first thought they were weird then everyone started doing what the bettles did and growing their hair out, next thing you know they cut their hair!!!! so Adam’s not the first nor will he be the last to be different it’s been happining for ever none the less I hope this thing dosn’t put him in the hot seat I feel he might be hurting for votes with people not catching his performence honestly I didn’t even vote last night and I never miss voting!

  137. C Mitchell on April 8th, 2009 3:09 pm

Adam Lambert is the one to beat. I’m so happy for him, he’s obviously been out there trying for sometime and this is the break this guy needs. He sealed the deal with Play that Funky Music; it was the best version ever. Off to stardom Adam!

  138. Mary on April 8th, 2009 3:12 pm

  139. Tami on April 8th, 2009 3:35 pm

  140. boo on April 8th, 2009 3:48 pm

i voted last year for david cook because he gave me goose bumps when he sang billie jean ………adam gives me goose bumps every single time he performs he is way more talented than anyone has EVER been on Idol, including every past winner………………….he is pure musical endeavor and i cannot wait until he comes out with a goosebump cd!

  141. brandon on April 8th, 2009 3:53 pm

Don’t get me wrong, I loved the performance. However, I can’t help but wonder if he meant to sing the wrong words at one point. Regardless, it was great

  142. mfk on April 8th, 2009 4:27 pm

I am wondering whether anyone knows if you can write requests to the singers at American Idol or whether they have a certain fan mail area? It would be awesome to hear Adam sing a couple of hits from Guns N’ Roses. I think he would tear the roof off the place….just an amazing performer. We want a real rock song Adam – cut loose

  143. Amy on April 8th, 2009 4:29 pm

Not to be cocky–but if you guys would record this great show called “Fringe”, then you would have recorded Adam’s song! Of course, I missed the last few minutes of Fringe and had to record the news from the later broadcast (I have East coast/West coast feeds…very handy) I was completely blown away by Adam. I’m still trying to find my way back home…there’s no place like home… there’s no place like home.

  144. venuxx on April 8th, 2009 4:48 pm

This guy is WICKED!!! Kinda puts me in the mind of PRINCE. A true artist.

  145. AustinIronWoman on April 8th, 2009 4:56 pm

I think Adam screeches. He’s my least favorite. Please, do not compare him to Prince. That’s just wrong.

  146. Margie on April 8th, 2009 4:58 pm

I was completely moved and blown away by this song. It was beautiful, haunting, amazing – Adam is a star! I’ve been watching it and singing it all day, can’t get it out of my mind. Don’t want to! This is what music is all about! I’m glad to read that others felt it in their soul as I did. I wish all the best for Adam – he has a wonderful gift!

  147. Debora on April 8th, 2009 5:03 pm

I did some reserch on Elvis and Fred Mercury and Adam is so close to these guys!! His interpretation of these song makes the original versions sound almost like a karaoke!!! That pure talent, pure genious!!!
    He’s … the american idol!!!

  148. KAT on April 8th, 2009 5:09 pm

I can’t’ believe my DVR didn’t record our favorite performer on American Idol… Adam!!! Why did they have to save the best for last, and then go over on time? Adam’s performance is what my husband and I enjoy the most. We always look forward to seeing what crazy take on a song he’s going com up with next. Seriously, it was upsetting to watch the entire show and then not get to see our favorite performer. Should we just not DVR American Idol? Do they have these issues often?

  149. cuda on April 8th, 2009 5:09 pm

True that Marge! I’ve been singing it in my head and out loud all day and I DONT want to stop :O)

Great performance, great rendition and amazing talent Adam, thanks and keep it up. Cant wait for your CD and yes I’m 49 yrs old :O)

Sorry Grandpa, But why do I care if you think he is “profoundly strange”? Many who were your same age when Elvis first started said that of him but you see where it got them. It was change in the making, same with this kid, he will be around for a long time, strange or not. Turn off your TV and live in your perfect world of the past. “Any Questions”

I’m a 40ish african-american woman and have to say, This young man is definitely a star. His performance last night gave me chills. I think he is truly an amazing singer and performer. Reminds me of a cross between Prince and Elvis. Have not seen this caliber of talent in a long time.

  153. kat on April 8th, 2009 5:26 pm

    Chills!

  154. Richard on April 8th, 2009 5:40 pm

WOW!!! Not only does Adam command the stage but he put on a clinic for his Falsetto prowess singing this toned down yet haunting version of the Gary Jules arrangement of Mad World. ‘As awesome as Fredie Mercury and as sensitive and smooth as a souped up NOW version of Roy Orbison’ comes to mind. Not to be a blowhard here, but in my career, I’ve worked with the finest singers to ever live, and this guy measures up to the best. He’s a true “arteest”, a natural born performer, an old soul with a commanding gift. Adam is a George Michael of WHAM fame in the making. If he would do a rendition of George Michaels’ “Praying for Time”, he’d not only blow away the fans but would absolutely devastate the competition. Good Job Adam, you da DOPE!

ok.. here’s the deal! I thought I was the only one flipping out that my DVR cut off. The truth is I wouldn’t wait to watch it on DVR if there weren’t so many damn commercials. Honestly, I can watch the whole show in less then a half hour just by fast forwarding the the commercials. Isn’t AI making enough money? If they just cut one ad they would not have run out of time and this many people wouldn’t be so pissed off. Let’s not forget last year at the season finale when it came down to the two Davids and the DVR cut off at “And the winner is David…..) I mean really people get it together over there.
On another note, Adam Lambert is the winner by far. He is so talented on every level. Can’t wait for his first album. I’ll even go out a limb and say that he will be more successful then any other American Idol winner in history.

  173. Michael Feldman on April 8th, 2009 8:28 pm

I am seventy one years of age . . .not a rabid American Idol fan but after discovering Adam Lambert, would not miss a show in order to see him perform. I have never bought a ticket to a tour performance for any entertainer but I will be first in line for an Adam Lambert concert . . .

I am not knowledgeable enough to explain the technical whys but his renditions of songs positively keep me glued to the screen . . .After he wins the Idol competition he will become America’s number one singing star . . .no doubt . . . no question about it . . . he appeals to a wide spectrum of audience; he is a rare talent!

  174. Faith Finnicum on April 8th, 2009 9:13 pm

I have “three words” – AUTHENTIC, HUMBLE, REAL

Artists come and go, coining the phase “one hit wonder.” That will always be the case. Adam is the “real deal.” And, as a long time American Idol fan, the judges, the producers, and the points of influence PICK WELL – Kelly Clarkston, Carrie Underwood and now Adam Lambert. These artists are true to their past, their present, and their future – They will be around for a long, long time.

They are… in “two words”… exceptionally GOOD PEOPLE!

I doubt that they will read this review, but to all three – Please continue to SHINE ON, SHINE ON, SHINE ON. Farm girl, nerds in high school, or missing a few beats in between… WHO CARES NOW! They made it, and I hope for only good things for all three. They were and will be my favorites for a long, long time! Their humility is inspiring; Their grace is rare; and, Their talents… will hopefully keep them smiling for a long, long time! Love them!

Adam Lambert is the next american idol! I’m crazy in love with his voice (and him!)! He’s so much more than any other contestant on ANY other season. Absolutely can’t wait for a cd! ^_^

  179. Queen on April 8th, 2009 9:36 pm

I fell in love with Adam the first show and I pray that he makes more music whether he becomes the american idol or not! Adam can you come to Hot Lanna?

  180. Patti on April 8th, 2009 9:48 pm

As everyone else, my DVR did not record Adams performance. I was about to explode, when I decided to check the internet. Thank God for Ricky.org.! I usually set my DVR to tape not only American Idol, but also the show directly following. That way if the show goes overtime(which it does Alot) I don’t miss anything. But I forgot to do that this time, and it was Adams best performance by a mile. Thanks soooooo much for posting it. I watch it over and over, and am completely blown away every time! Is he Freddie Mercury reincarnated?

  183. Homer on April 8th, 2009 9:55 pm

Has the world gone mad? Sure the boy has a ok voice (does not hold a candle to Danny) but come on. He always thinks he has to try to hit those really high notes and half the time it just sounds like he is whining. If you want to know what that should really should like try listening to someone like M5 or the like. I really hope this country does not give this boy the prize. I would say I hope he get voted out but we all know that would have to happen twice because the judges are tone deaf.

  184. joyce on April 8th, 2009 9:59 pm

I love this guy, and I am a 56 yr old woman, who would have known I would love a musician like this. I was a Queen fan tho, Adam’s pipes are amazing!

Wow. Chills down my spine every time I hear Adam’s voice. Today I cried listening to his performance. He gives my friends and I a new hope in in life. What an amazing person. We love Adam.

  187. Julie Smith on April 8th, 2009 10:27 pm

I honestly don’t get it. I’m not trying to be rude or nasty, but I didn’t like the song at all and really don’t understand what all the hype about it is. I have the utmost respect for anyone who is brave enough to try out for this show, let alone to get to the final 8, as I would never even attempt it. But I just didn’t like this song at all and don’t see why everyone’s so into this particular performance. To each their own, I suppose.

  188. Darlene L on April 8th, 2009 10:43 pm

I LOVE Adam!! He is amazing. He is the next American Idol, hands down without a doubt!

  189. vickie wade on April 8th, 2009 11:47 pm

I have never missed an episode of Idol since it began. I am always excited to see what the public chooses as their Idol. There have been years when I was disappointed but who can question the performances given by Adam Lambert. He is the true American Idol. He can sing, he is handsome, he can perform and I love the way he can take a song and change it into something so very unique and special. If you dont think he can sing dont watch him. Close your eyes and just listen. Then when you open your eyes his looks only add to his God given talent. Keep up the good work. I also like that he has changed his appearence on several occasions. Kind of reminds me of a young Elvis Presley. Love it. Vickie

  190. Tricyclesinskirts on April 9th, 2009 12:00 am

Sickkkkkk…adam was so, so outstanding on this song. I enjoy a few other people on the show–matt, danny, lil–but Adam? He owns the stage.

  192. Ken Stevens on April 9th, 2009 12:11 am

I would have to say that Adam is the front runner. And thanks for have his preformance on the web.

  193. Dick on April 9th, 2009 12:18 am

I’m 65. If this soul piercing talent doesn’t win then there’s a disconnect going on. He might creep out some the teen girls like my grandaughter (Chris and Danny probably have their votes) but this guy connects and is in a separate league. I’ve seen some of his wilder eye opening videos, they’re out there and Freddy Mercury lives again but this guy is just to good to be denied. If he doesn’t win he’ll be like Aiken, second in the contest but who remember Reubin Studdard. He records, I buy.

  194. Carol on April 9th, 2009 12:21 am

Thanks to the person that posted Adam’s performance. I was so mad that I didn’t see it due the “overtime” and my recording it… wow… so amazing, beautiful, whatever words.. loved it!

  200. KAREN on April 9th, 2009 2:00 am

there are only few singers that send chills through my spine when ever they sing and Adam Lambert has become one of them. He has a way of trans sending you through his music to another realm. I only wish that he gets a chance to record everything he has done so far, everything is just spotless, not a blemish in sight.
I will put Adam Lambert into the category of being untouchable with Celine Dion, sting, and yes! David Cook they are part of the untouchables and I can’t wait to buy his first record.
THANK YOU RICKEY FOR ALLOWING TO SEE ADAM PERFORM, I THOUGHT THAT MY DVR WENT TO STUPID MODE AND STOPPED BEFORE ADAM WENT ON.

  209. Sandra Mitchell on April 9th, 2009 3:55 am

They have a super star on their hands at american idol. They need to at least put him in 2nd to last instead of letting him be last and running the show over. I know that people who were taping it were mad when their VCR cut off. I always watch american idol every year but this year is special because Adam Lambert is now a mega star and everyone wants his CD now! Every week all I do is wait to see him again. What a talent.

  210. Bill Godsey on April 9th, 2009 4:02 am

Adam is in a league of his own. Danny and Kris are very good, but Adam is brilliant. He is the best performer I have ever seen on American Idol and I have watched from the origin.

  214. Pat on April 9th, 2009 10:33 am

I’ve only been watching Idol for three years. Last year was the first year I got really excited about a performer (David Cook) and actually learned how to download songs, then bought his album. I was even lucky enough to see him on tour last summer. I didn’t think I could get that excited again about a performer, but Adam Lambert is absolutely wonderful. I’m an in-my-seventies grandmother, have never heard Mad World before, haven’t seen Donnie Darko (I intend to remedy that, though, because I’ve heard so much about the film), but oh boy, Adam’s performance of the song was unbelievable. I was hooked from the first line, just mesmerized. He will be a HUGE HUGE star, whether he takes the title or not. I believe he will take the title, though, and it’s my hope Allison will be a finalist as well. I love her, too, even though she’s not yet in the same league as Adam. He, though, has many years of experience behind him, and she’s still a kid. Anyway, thank you for this video. I’ve watched it several times now and will probably keep watching it. Oh, and I just bought it on I-tunes. It’s available today.

  215. Deb on April 9th, 2009 10:47 am

IDOL has NEVER had such an extradordinary contestant as Adam Lambert! I cannot stop plaing the “MAD WORLD” video. What an amazing vocal range and wildly gifted performer he is! This performance was absolutely hypnotic! His song even keeps playing over and over again in my mind. He is in such a completely different category than all of the contestants on IDOL in it’s entire history. Adam reminds me of a very brilliant, young, superstar by the name of Elvis Presley. I cannot wail to hear and see his next performance. Thank you SO very much for allowing us to enjoy this video.

  218. Rhonda on April 9th, 2009 12:29 pm

I, too, have believed from the start that Adam is the American Idol Season 8. Every week he performs brilliantly (as Simon says). I think Danny and Chris and Allison are all also very very good, but Adam puts on his very own show every time he is on that stage. I could go watch him for hours perform in his own concert tonight. He is just so awesome to watch! Love you Adam!

  219. Adamski on April 9th, 2009 12:44 pm

Wow! just watched it again. What a talent!!!

  220. Korin on April 9th, 2009 1:02 pm

Thank god someone posted his performance! I am one of those many DVR’s and when I went to play the show and he wasn’t on there were choice words coming from my mouth. You know he’s going to win but none the less I want to see every performance Adam Lambert has on Idol!!

  221. Dave Martin on April 9th, 2009 1:16 pm

To the Danny O fans that have posted here. Thanks for letting us all know that you are as tone deaf as a golf ball. To say things like the judges ,who are all in the music industry in a big way, are tone deaf just shows how small your understading of vocalization is and Homer … dude lay off the Duff beer and your hearing might actually improve. Insert smiley face.

  222. TommyHobbes on April 9th, 2009 2:07 pm

Thank you for sharing. Adam’s performance was flawless! His poignant rendition of Mad World was out-of-this-world!

  223. CAS on April 9th, 2009 2:25 pm

Many thanks to Ricky.org. I too DVR the program mainly to FF the commercials.
WOW amazing!! There is no doubt who will be the winner this season. Adam’s rendition of “Mad World” is even better than the original. This song certainly deserves a place on Adam’s first CD. Again, thank you Ricky.org.

  224. Deb K on April 9th, 2009 2:42 pm

I believe the most unique and truly gifted super star of the decade has just been discovered. Adam’s haunting yet briliantly arrangeed version of MAD WORLD is far more mesmerizing and hypnotic than the original by Tears for Fears. I woud go out and buy this exact arrangement in a heartbeat today! I’ve played it over and over again and it just gives me chills! I’m thrilled IDOL continues till the end because I absolutely cannot wait to hear what ADAM brings to the stage next week! Adam is the entire package… and then a bag of chips! Each week he demonstrates incredible vocals, versatility, humility and does so as if he has done this all his life… oh and he looks totally super hot too! Adam will no doubt be a star even among the stars! Rock on Baby!!!

And thanks so much for posting this! I DVRed it too and as I was fast-forwarding along, just waiting for Adam, I almost had a heart attack when my DVR ended and they hadn’t come back from the commercial break yet. So THANK YOU! <3

    Gooooooooooooooo Adam!!

  228. amariz on April 9th, 2009 4:54 pm

Oh get over Adam already! He obviously has had so much professional experience and no doubt he knows how to entertain. He should have BEEN done a record already and therefore DOES NOT BELONG on American Idol. Vote him off already..give the others a chance to start from nothing and make themselves a star..they all have excellent voices and star quality. If he goes, I guarantee some label will quickly pick him up due to his popularity and stage presence!

  229. Stella on April 9th, 2009 5:09 pm

What do you mean get over it? Adam is something to watch for every American Idol night and he is a great singer and performer and the most pleasent person I have ever seen on Idol…He is thoughtful and thanks everyone including the band….
What do you mean that the judges have a stone deaf ear….Simon has done very well for himself in themusic industry so he has to know something about music and talent…
On each Idol show there is usually one that stands out, but I have never seen one like Adam, except when Clay Aiken sang Bridge over trouble waters ….
Keep up the good work on song choice and keep up the beautiful smile….
    Go Adam!!!!!!!!!

And he looked exactly like Elvis when he got all cleaned up. I love that. Well Fortunately, I found this video so I could watch my favorite part.
And he really deserved getting Simon’s standing ovation[:

But “Mad World” tipped me over the edge for Adam! Go Adam!

I picked up on Adam right from the start and saw what talent this guy has. Love him or hate him–he far outclasses the others on the show; his vocal technique alone is superior. I might even consider going to the Idol Tour if it comes this way just to see him and I NEVER go to concerts.

  247. Kaji on April 10th, 2009 12:10 am

  249. Deb K on April 10th, 2009 12:37 am

I’m like a middle aged cougar (whatever that is I’ve been told)… I will go to see Adam the very first time he is in concert. I don’ care what it costs. I haven’t felt this fascinated by a star in a long, long time. He will be a historical artist in the music industry. He poitively rocks! Even if he is gay, straight, black, white… whatever… Dude… he is fucking on fire! Yeah… I could totally dig talkng to this guy!

  250. Lesley on April 10th, 2009 1:10 am

The tone of Adam’s vocals can’t even begin to be compared to those of the other singers! He’s fresh, he’s relevant, he’s got the craziest vocal range on a man that I have ever heard!!! And to have control of that range is mind blowing. I had a choral director that used to say that “most singers have notes that they can reach but that doesn’t mean people need to hear them,” I yet to get that from Adam!!!!

Amazing! Adam is the best, he brings something new everytime…Everyweek I can’t wait what he’s going to do. I first noticed him when he sang Ring of Fire. When I opened the TV, he was on…I felt weird but I think it was not bad…I continued watching and later on found out that it was “country” week and I thought “That was country”. He’s brilliant…

  253. Kris on April 10th, 2009 1:46 am

Adam is beyond a superstar–perhaps a “supernova”? 🙂 He combines amazing vocals with incredible charisma and stunning looks. It has been decades since I was interested in music, but this guy is the whole package. Mesmerizing, spellbinding, passionate, and versatile-from hymns to opera to rock. Anyone who consistently out-sings the original stars on their own songs is a musical genius. And did I mention the stunning looks? LOL
Adam has “arrived” at a time when America needs him. He has injected hope and excitement in being alive. Given the number of people who watch his videos over and over again, he is alsos probably responsible for a huge decrease in productivity worldwide. LOL
This guy is so magnetic, that even the people who profess to “hate” him, are captivated enough to return to his performances time and time again. Don’t you feel lucky to witness the birth of a legend?

  254. Pat on April 10th, 2009 3:46 am

Adam Lambert far surpasses the rest of pack. (Allison is 2nd.) Adam has the most beautiful voice I have ever heard. He’s bright & had such good stage presense. He is who I’m voting for! I am 61 and when he first came out & rocked it out, I loved it! From the beggining he was the one I chose with Allison right behind him. GO ADAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  255. Tim on April 10th, 2009 10:50 am

Unreal…..there is no doubt that he will be winning this……its all over already, no other contestant is even in the same league!

  256. amariz on April 10th, 2009 11:17 am

Tired of the Adam Lambert hype already…someone please record him already and let Allison be our next American Idol; shes got it all and will only get better! Adam is a talented entertainer and delivers magnetic performances, but that kind of artistry comes with mature experience! Give the title to the one who deserves her dream come true: Allison Iraheta. Adam will succeed without American Idol; guaranteed.

  257. DeAnna Turrietta on April 10th, 2009 11:35 am

I am speachless. Adam has way exceeded any expecations that america has set for him. He is beyond talented and the defination of an artist. With mad Respect DeAnna “Slave” Turrietta

  258. s harris on April 10th, 2009 12:14 pm

I have watched the Idol since it started and I have a son in a very famous country band. My husbnad and I are close to seventy years old and Adam Lambert blows us away. This guy is the best we have ever seen. I love every week to see what Adam does next. We would love to see a concert with Adam Lamber anywhere. I also will buy his albums that he puts out. We think he surpasses any talent yet. He far passes anything the Idol has had on since they started the show. They should feel very honored that they found him and brought him to tv. I know we are thrilled that talent like his is being seen every week and we know Adam is going to be huge in the music world He JUST HAS THAT MAGIC

  259. tanabanana on April 10th, 2009 12:42 pm

Listen to this song; if you do not already adore Adam, you will at least appreciate his talent.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1VQo6mCkEso

I HOPE HE SINGS THIS ON AI-it will seal his fate; in a good way.

  260. Kris on April 10th, 2009 12:46 pm

Totally agree with your post–best I have ever seen or ever hope to see. When he sang “Black & White”: “I believe in Miracles and a miracle in happening tonight”, it occured to me that now I believe in miracles as well and was looking at one LOL.
    The future looks bright.

  261. Chris on April 10th, 2009 1:43 pm

Adam is terrific and handling himself well through this competition so far. I want to remind others that last year when most thought David A was going to run away with it all in week 7 & 8, David C stepped up and took the front stage by week 3. Go ADAM! I hope he continous to shine and impress us. I’m also a fan of Allison!

  262. amariz on April 10th, 2009 2:04 pm

Oh is this Adam’s exclusive website?! I hope people realize the obvious, Adam is what he is due to his experience in theatrics and countless performances! Give the title to the one who deserves her dream come true: Allison Iraheta! She is so fresh and powerful; and she delivers an enthralling performance, given her age. She takes my breath away every time. And Danny delivers “in the pocket” performances each time; brought me to tears plenty. Adams been a stage performer upteen times already; so of course he’s everything you all say he is. But America’s Idol? I don’t think so. Adam will be okay, folks, if he doesn’t win AI.

  263. Tim on April 10th, 2009 2:30 pm

He will win lol, there really is no question here…… he has the best and most powerful voice in American Idol, this is not a charity competition so you can forget Allison winning, to tell you the truth I don’t think she will make it to the top 3.

  264. Patti on April 10th, 2009 3:16 pm

Amariz; HELLO!! Allison has been performing since she was about 2! Thats why she looks so natural on stage. She probably has more stage experience then Adam. Don’t get me wrong; I love Allison, too. But Adam is one of those talents that comes around only once in a while that seems to have been born for this like Elvis and Freddie Mercury( front man of Queen). Adam certainly will be fine even if he doen’t win idol, but so will Allison! I hope she is the runner up. And by the way, this does seem to be Adams exclusive website. GO ADAM!

  265. Karen Shane on April 10th, 2009 3:24 pm

I reset my DVR’s to go over 15 minutes (5 minutes wasn’t enough) so I’ll never miss any of American Idol.

Awesome song. Awesome talent. Can’t wait to see him crowned American Idol and Allison second.

  266. Janice on April 10th, 2009 5:26 pm

I love the show “American Idol” but the idea is to pick the best,so Adam YOU just took the fun out of it because hands down this guy is the WINNER!! I mean, COME ON, the rest of the shows up to the winner are gonna just be formallities right?! But I watch the whole show and have for a while now just to see Adam!! ADAM ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  267. KIMBERLY on April 10th, 2009 6:52 pm

THERE AREN’T ENOUGH WORDS TO DESCRIBE THIS BOY’S TALENT. I SEE HIM TAKING THE TITLE FOR SURE!

  268. Jean on April 10th, 2009 8:01 pm

I am 62. My friend is 68. We now watch American Idol to see Adam. I have watched the show all 8 years, but Adam is the best they have and probably ever will have on.

I was a victim of the overtime also, and today finally got to listen to Adam’s performance, thanks to you, and thanks to YouTube the original, which I remembered once I heard it up tempo, and then the Jules version, which was also great, but not as soulful and heartfelt as Adam’s. Somehow Adam made it feel personal, as his own experience, and therefore one that at least a piece of us has felt and can relate to.

It is kind of unfortunate for the talented others that they are up against him, as even though they are star quality, they are not superstar legendary quality, which Adam is. He knows what he came here for. Now, so do we!

    Jean

  269. Annette on April 10th, 2009 8:03 pm

There should be a picture of Adam Lambert when posted on F.B Who is that guy with the crazy hair???

  270. Tori on April 10th, 2009 8:41 pm

All this Adam Lambert stuff is so not right. Here is the deal people. In season 7
the A/I people blew it. They selected cook over archuletta. BIG MISTAKE!
and definately rigged. Very transparent what they did behind ARchie’s back.
and continue to do so today They selected a rocker because of all thel
complaining that a/I was discriminatory to rockers. They realized that
daughtery made it in the millions and is the reason why they selected the
wannabe daughtery (cook) to win. Meanwhile, this incredible young phenom
archuleta wowed the show like no other to this day. Check the scream level
as to when archie was on as to lambert. Lambert fangirl scream isvery
minimal as it was for cook. Lambert does not have thant unique special thing
that archuleta has. AI realized their mistake. Have you all not experienced
the archuleta/Beatlemania response he brings each time he performs on
tour. Cook was embarrased to not recieve that type of response because
the “American Idol” should have that kind of response and AI knows this.
and knows well enough that the title should have been for Archie. Not cook
So what does Simon and the AI people do now? Hey! lets preselect someone
to somewhat look like archuleta . Let’s dye his hair black and have him sing ballads the same time let’s have him dress like a rocker like cook. This will make the public forget about archuleta. You know the guy that’s taking the world by storm like the Beatles. The one no one can beat to date
The world can’t get enough of Archie and he is in his prime and each concert is sold out. Now this Lambert guy has dyed his hair to try to emulate the
persona of archuleta. HE IS A PHONY! A PHONY! Underneath that black dye
is blonde hair. Can you visualize that. Not so handsome now is he, not so
Archuleta like is he? His blonde hair matches his blue eyes like a surfer.
He is not special. His singing is now where near David Archuleta. Lambert
is just another wannabe rocker like cook. There is NOTHING special about
him or unique. His strategy was to emulate the look of David Archuleta and
copy his style of ballads and at the same time play act the rocker type.
He has fooled all of you people. He is part of the scandal that Simon and the
AI people conjured up because of their regret not giving David the title.
Why do you think they won’t invite David to the show. It will definately
take away from Lambert. Oh and give me a break on Lambert’s fake humbleness. No way Lambert can touch Archuleta for Archie is in a league
all on his own. Lambert was concocted by AI and is a phoney. This season
should really go to Matt. AI people are at it again. Simon and the bunch
from England. Liars raising up phonies.

his concerts. When he is 25, Lambert is in his 30’s.

To “Tori” the Archuleta fan club president,

I’ve been watching this show since season 2 and I too was enamored with Archie too but, you’re dead wrong about Adam. Adam is head and shoulders above David. David is a SINGER, pure and “simple”. Adam is an Artist, someone who brings a song to life, someone who takes a song, makes it his own and at the same time, draws you into his world. His “Mad World”. This guy, thus far has truly impressed me and I too see his genious. I too understand the comparisons to Elvis and Freddy Mercury. This guy has the ability to change peoples impression of the “manufactured” music industry and bring about a renaissance of what it was in the beginning, something new and fresh and something to get excited about. That has been missing for a long long time now.

P.S. Go Danny Gokey! I thought you would run away with this in the beginning and I’m still a huge fan but, you’ve got your work cut out for you as I never saw this guy Adam coming.

  273. Jack Freeman on April 11th, 2009 3:33 am

Amazingly eerie and yet very endearing and beautiful…one of the best performanaces I’ve ever heard on any IDOL show…I hope to God he wins…his vocals are surperb, his arrangements surprising, and he is so charming and sweet. Good Luck Adam!!

  274. Bret on April 11th, 2009 10:56 am

I’ve always thought Adam was a bit too theatrical and the “scream” was getting old, however, after learning of Simon’s standing ‘O’ while watching the eliminations last night I had to go online and watch Adams performance (thanks DVR – I should’ve extended the recording time and will from now on). I too was blown away by this performance – haunting, chilling and fresh – Congratulations Adam… You just won A.I.!

All that being said… GO ALLISON!! Top 2!!

  275. Bret on April 11th, 2009 11:13 am

    To Tori,

That sure was a long winded cry fest just to say your a bitter Archie fan. Seek therapy. The Archie ballads and cute shy routine got old for all but the pre-teens. Comparing the 2 -Just weird. Now if you want a conspiracy – Look at the similarities between Matt and Fantasia, there’s your conspiracy. 😉

  276. Kay on April 11th, 2009 1:01 pm

Bret is exactly right! Tori is either in the pre-teen category or the parent of one of the brokenhearted. Archuletta also breathed 21st century life into his songs; and although at first I thought he would win, the doe eyed, almost beat down look was wearing a little thin, and seemed contrived. Cook squared his shoulders and looked in command, almost like the parent, when they sang “Hero.” Lambert’s advantage is using his considerable acting chops to enhance each song. Let’s face it, this is a contest for adults. Watching a 17 y.o., who looked more like 14, sing lovelorn songs was just wrong. Lambert’s mournful, perfectly produced (right down to the lighting) Mad World will be in everyone’s mind when they go out to buy the CD. All of the top tens get their shot at stardom… I see Archie’s name occasionally – Any big hits yet?

  277. Eddie on April 11th, 2009 2:49 pm

Adam is the best idol ever I would buy his record today.

  278. jeanne on April 11th, 2009 5:15 pm

He is simply fantastic! I am waiting for his cd to come out. WOW!!!!!!

  279. Me on April 11th, 2009 5:15 pm

I don’t know what all the fuss is about. I don’t see this kid making anything worth listening too. I am a fan of all music too. I find his voice to be something that sends chivers up my spine much like fingers on a chalk board. His voice change in an unmelodical way 5 times during the “Mad World” performance. I know Idol is supposed to find talent but I don’t know if he can write anything to sell records unless it’s about 14 year old girls dating problems. I think his best shot is on broadway where this type of voice is found. Maybe a “Cat” or “Rocky Horror Picture Show”. Sorry to be against the grain of all you others. I respect your opinions and encourage you to enjoy what you like. Just don’t be sucked into a Fox created buzz or the first person who dresses different to get attention.

  280. judy klein on April 11th, 2009 6:26 pm

I am 63 years old and have been there for the beginings of Elvis and the Beatles. Adam is like them in his great talent, originality, stage presence, and bold self-direction. He will be a giant in this field.

  281. Sam on April 11th, 2009 9:11 pm

Just watched the show from Chile, South America ( for those of you who think
chile is only somethun you eat.)
Adam is my fav of all the idols. Talk about looks and charisma besides the
amazing voice. How can you NOT compare him to Elvis . Both totally unique
and amazing to look at and Im not even gay.Or am I?

  282. Megan Paq on April 11th, 2009 9:31 pm

ADAM SUUUUCKS!!!!!!!!!! Worse than the blind guy! Allison or Matt will take it all now that Megan’s gone!

  283. monica on April 11th, 2009 9:58 pm

I can’t stop watching this video. I saw it on AI and I still keep coming here to watch Adam again and again. His talent and skill are truly amazing. I’ll be keeping track of this guy and his career from this moment on. He’s pleasant to look at, enthralling to watch, and his voice is magic. I agree with Simon, Adam more than deserves a standing ovation.

  284. doug on April 11th, 2009 10:10 pm

Listen. I’m old enough to be Adam’s father. I don’t leave messages for anybody on the net. However, I’m making this exception because Adam is already so talented that one can only wonder where this will take him. I’m so glad that there is a venue like American Idol that allows people with talent to rise to the top of their field with what has become a major stage for the public to see them starting out.

I’ve seen comments elsewhere about Adam’s preferences in his life. Those are his preferences and though you may not share those, you do not have to deny him his due when it comes to his obvious truckload of talent. I am most impressed with the level of emotion that he brings to his work. When there are so many other talented performers out there, it is this part of his performances that raise him above all the rest.

I hope that he can stay true to his heart in every way. If he does, and I think he will, it will come through in his songs.

  285. Toni on April 11th, 2009 10:16 pm

It’s hilarious seeing people comment over and over again about how much Adam “sucks”, completely ignoring that they are a tiny minority. I’m fairly sure that a couple people are trolling, but for the haters, obviously he’s made a HUGE impression-deal with it.

As for me, I am a believer. The guy is definitely blessed with not only talent but the kind of star power that comes around quite rarely. In the right hands, he could make memorable music.

  286. Toni on April 11th, 2009 10:18 pm

Also, LOL @ the bitter Megan fan. I’m honestly glad that cawing idiot went bye bye. Who the heck ever heard of a “cawing” robin?

  287. Melvin on April 11th, 2009 11:14 pm

I am in my late 50s.
I watched Idol for the first time last year when my wife told me to watch David Cook sing ‘Billie Jean’.
I kept watching and was amused by Jason and liked David A., but really got into David Cook.
My wife told me to watch when Adam sang ‘Ring of Fire’, and I enjoyed it a lot. I watched the other performances since then, and while we were watching ‘Mad World’, she looked at me and asked, “Are you crying?” I didn’t realize it, but I was. That was amazing. I remember being touched like that with some Beatles tunes when younger, and U2’s “In the Name of Love”, as well as others, but I was absolutely blown away Tuesday night.
I’ll buy the CD, and play it for my friends, who will then buy it as well, I am sure.

  288. Deb K on April 12th, 2009 8:17 am

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY ONE OF THE MOST AMAZING VIDEOS OF ALL TIME! IDOL NEEDS TO JUST FORGET ABOUT ALL THIS OTHER ENTERTAINMENT EACH WEEK DURING THE SHOW, (EXCEPT FOR THE CONTESTANTS), AND JUST LET ADAM PERFORM 2 OR 3 TIMES..LOL! NO FOR REAL…. EVERY ONE OF HIS PERFOMANCES ARE JUST ADDICTIVELY CAPTIVATING! THANKS SOOOOO MUCH FOR SHARING RICKY!

I just want IDOL to be over so they can proclaim him the next AI – I hope! Several of the others are very talented – but to me don’t compare to Adam. I would go to an AI concert simply to see Adam, win or lose. Can’t wait to see what he sings for us tonight!!!

  302. Me on April 14th, 2009 11:09 pm

We’ll see. He may win but no one will support him. Much like every winner EVERY. Only positive talent has been Daughtry and Underwood. They know what sells albums. It isn’t how good you scream.

  303. Rachel on April 14th, 2009 11:12 pm

HUH? That was what the big deal was?!?! I REALLY don’t get people’s fascination with this guy. I think he would be a great Broadway star (on stage charisma, powerful voice, etc.) but is just not popular recording star material – he’s over the top theatrical and I just don’t see the singing chops. What was good about this performance is that he did not do his signature screeching thing which is getting a bit old.

  304. christie on April 15th, 2009 12:03 am

If he doesnt win, he will still make it BIG TIME and be another Elvis. I will buy ALL his records and continue to love him…..Go Adam!!!!!!

  312. Sean D. on April 17th, 2009 12:21 am

Wow … I couldn’t find Adam’s song the next day on iTunes and so downloaded two versions of it by other artists (Gary Jules and Alex Parks) … both are excellent, but, well, not Adam! Found the video and watched it over and over again … absolute genius that differentiates him from the other artists is the one line in which he sings “went to school and I was very nerveous” … the way he drew out “nerveous” on the video is incredible!!! When I finally found and purchased the full recording of his on iTunes, it was incredible to me that he did better live on AI on the “nerveous” word than he did in his recorded version … what talent to perform live better than with unlimited second chances provided by recordings! Don’t delete the video version from this show!

  313. Najin on April 17th, 2009 5:47 am

although this man is really great, these comments seem to have no substance. kind of like the obama obession. i’d like to think that people need to prove before given the title of ‘king’. could there be a correlation of our country going downhill and people looking for idols to worship, hate to sound like a doomsday person, but something to think about and not get to wrap up in, if you know what i mean…nonetheless he is great, but give the guy a chance to prove it, he’s no different than you and i.

Adam is and will be another Elvis of this era!! He’s has phenomenal talent. His vocal skills outshine all others!! He’s mesmerizing to watch and I’m always blown away after his performances.

  316. adamfan on April 21st, 2009 2:35 am

What a performance!! He just gets better and better. I’m glad Adam’s on Idol this year. It needed the shakeup. Can’t take my eyes off him when he’s on stage. I’m waiting on the edge of my seat for the next “ADAM SHOW” … Ridiculous talent!!!!

I am going to be so sorry when this season of American Idol is over as I am hooked on Adam Lamberts voice. I save all of the performances on my DVR so I can watch & listen to Adam whenever I want to…………LOVE his voice!!!! I love how he changes his look & performances every week, I truly enjoy him! I loved his Ring of Fire & was glad he didn’t do it country style! 🙂 All of is performances have been fantastic! Wonder which record company he will sign with?

  320. Lisa on April 26th, 2009 3:06 pm

I’m a FAN!!!! I want to hear your voice on the radio when I get in my car. I want to pop in your cd and listen to you non-stop. I want to actually pay money to see you in concert. I want to turn on MTV and watch your music videos…over and over again 🙂 What have you done to me!? lol

  321. Jude Avery on April 30th, 2009 12:28 pm

I have reviewed all of Adam Lambert’s performances. I am convinced he is the next Elvis Presley. He has the style, electricity, can sing with a sensuality that only was ever (in my mind) ever seen in Elvis. If he were to take just his American Idol performances and record them onto a CD, I know they’d be a sellout, pronto! Each is unique and each is a class act on it’s own. He WILL be huge… and deservedly so. I look for him to be right up there with Elvis. I knew Elvis personally, and he was not only a star, but he had a huge heart. Adam is young, but, he reminds me of a young Elvis. I have always been able to pick those who have become famous in big ways, right down to who’d win beauty pageants and everything in-between. This performer “gets it.” Bet on him, and you can take that to the bank!

    Good on ya Mate!

    Jude

I have watched Adam Lambert on American Idol these past weeks, I am an old gal in her 60’s and this guy gives me the chills, he is so talented. I love 70’s Rock and he is so Freddy Mercury of Queen its unbelievable Freddy would be so flattered to see so many years later what a phenom Adam is. He is not only Freddy, he can channel Elvis, or for that fact any super star of those past eras, as well as his own modern era, and transform himself into his very own signature performance. All I can say is Wow!, he is the best that American Idol has ever found. I hope before the contest is over that Adam performs the Queen Classic, Another One Bites the Dust, just listen to Queen and Freddy Mercury do that song, and you will think it is Adam Lambert who can hit those notes just like Freddy, it almost brought tears to my eyes as we all know how Freddy died of AIDS. Adam has performance moves that are professional, he is just made either for broadway live, television, recorded music and movies. This is a guy who could play Danny in Grease, Jim Morrison of the Doors, even Johnny Cash. His range of emulation is unlimited. He is all of the past American Idols rolled into one big package. I hope to not see him in the bottom 3 ever again, come on folks after each show, get your votes in from here on out. He is the closest to looking like Elvis Presley than anyone who has ever played the part on tv or the movies. Also notice how much he listens to the judges and takes the advice to heart never back talks or argues. My biggest laugh of the season was his Ring of Fire rendition a famous Johnny Cash song, that I must admit was nowhere close, yet it was hauntingly original stealing nothing from Cash, but putting the Lambert signature on the famous Johnny Cash piece of music. It has been many years before I have considered buying a CD of anyones music, yet I will wait in line to buy Adam Lambert Music. I hope his generation know what a find he is and will be thrilled to say I saw Adam on Idol when he first started.

  323. Steve Lewis on May 4th, 2009 7:01 pm

Adam, Your way to damn good for American Idol!! Best vocals I have heard in years. Adam do the Unchained Melody song for Simon and shut him up for good. I believe your the only one that has the talent to do this. I feel so bad for you in the recent insult in the last show. That was poor judgement on their part knowing you was running away with the show. After your gone I will never ever watch this show again. My regards to you and wish you the best in the future. Steve Lewis

I have just listened to Adam Lambert on line because people are telling me he screamed when he sang and how bad it was. Well you know the boy has talent and once a sponsor gets hold of him and smooths him out this kid will go a long way. Right now its raw talent, seen it before, seen a before and after. He will get there.

  329. Jacob Pillman on May 22nd, 2009 5:59 pm

Favorite Song You Sing! I Could Watch This Four Days And Not Get Tired Of It. I Demand A Recount For The Votes For You And Kris Because Your A Heck Of A Lot Than Him. Can’t Wait Till You CD Comes Out. Enjoy The Fame While You Can, And Enjoy Everyone Loving You While You Can.

  331. Wendy on May 30th, 2009 11:56 pm

Absolutely Love everything about Adam Lambert. Was sooooooo disappointed that he did not win Idol. Kris was OK but c’mon. Adam was always consistent, through the whole season. I am 48, have 3 teenagers and am happily married, but have to have my “Mad World” by Adam FIX a few times a day. Sorry but it just makes me feel so darn good. Can’t wait to buy his CD’s and hopefully see him on the Big Screen. Way to go Adam, you are a born Star. Keep being yourself and don’t let anyone change you.

There seems to be more positive comments about the next world superstar than negative. Just may be the negative remarks are coming from some very frustrated fans of other idols who are frightened that their favorite isn’t going to make top two finals. We all know that Adam is in a completely different league than any other S8 contestant. The others are good but lacking charisma, stage presence, wide range vocal talent, and above all humility. Adam is so kind, sweet and loving and always praises the band each week unlike the rest. Plus Danny, Anoop, and a few others have tried to immulate Adam’s moves and jestures but it’s not working for them. That in itself is a compliment to Adam. He is well liked among the other contestants and helps all of them if they ask him for advice. He is very respected among the AI staff and judges especially Simon and Paula. I have watched AI from beginning and never seen Simon show so much respect for anyone until Adam. He is in awe of his talent and knows he has found a world wide star. AI has given Adam the exposure he didn’t have in the past. So no matter what you may think of AI they know what a gift they have in him and are giving him so much freedom with his performances and letting him get involved with his new cd. He hasn’t put out an album yet and already those in the industry are callilng him a superstar. He has admirers in Brian May of Queen, Slash, Queen Latifa, Fergie and the Black Eyed Peas (they love him) Cindy Loper, and Smoky Robinson gave him a stand O. There are many more just can’t think of them all right now.
Why do you think Aerosmith, Bono of U2, Led Zipplin, and all the original artists were happy to allow Adam to sing their songs. He has made them all proud. You may not know this but after Adam sang MJ “Black or White? MJ let it be known that he wanted to meet Adam, but he became sick and it never happened. This is the impact this brave, wonderful, loving man has had on us his fans and the music industry as a whole. Good Luck Adam in the future. We love you so much and want you to make it big in the music business. Don’t let the haters get you down. They will some day appreciate your super talent and be eating their words.

    God Bless You

I watched Adam every time he sang. I dont think any one person I have ever heard could sing as great as Adam. He should be the next king of pop. He is truly amazing and I can not wait for his first cd to come out.I truly believe he should have been the winner of Idiol. I know he will go far and we will be hearing him for many years to come. I hope he does a song with Allison ,they were great together when they sang together. WHAT EVER HE WANTS AS HIS PARTNER IS HIS BUSSINESS AND NO ONE HAS THE RIGHT TO TELL HIM WHO HE SHOULD LOVE. Keep on doing what he does best and that is sing. Good Luck and I will be waiting for his records to come out. True Fan Jeanette

Adam: I have been a fan of yours since the beginning of Idol. You are in a class of your own. You have been bestowed with physical and inner beauty. Nobody can sing like you! Now that you have made it please avoid at all costs the use of drugs and excess drinking. I am also suggesting that you and your band take dancing lessons to sharpen your act! You are a beautiful person and you inspire people. Please keep your private life private. If you could make an album with Cristina Aguilera it would be a smash hit! The night that you did not win the Idol title, I was totally upset! I spent the week very quiet. I know you are a friend of Kris but he cannot sing like you. That title was yours and no one deserved it more than you. Keep up the good work!

    Go ADAM!

It is certainly incredibly open-handed with you to convey easily just what a number of people could have sold as an e-book to help make some bucks for their own end, mostly seeing that you might have done it in case you considered necessary. Those advice also acted to be the fantastic way to fully grasp some people have similar interest similar to mine to see very much more in respect of this condition. I’m sure there are many more fun instances in the future for people who see your site.
