The great music on Chuck starts pretty much with the first song in the pilot and it’s just been one great-music packed episode after another since then. The musical genius behind all these great songs is Music Supervisor – and long-time Joss Schwartz collaborator – Alexandra Patsavas. Alex was perfect for Casey! The gun cleaning scene was the most suggestive but hilarious thing EVER! Dont get me started on Cole and Jill…grrr…

It was hard to choose between Gary Cole and Bakula. But I just had to pick Bakula after monday’s ep. Both Chuck and Sarah have pretty awesome daddys!

I picked Chorgan (Chuck + Morgan!) for bromance because I think the bromance between Chuck and Casey is a bit one sided (Admit it, you LOVE me, John Casey) PLus Lester did call Chuck Morgan’s boyfriend.

Fulcrum is definitely the dumbest but best nemesis for Chuck!

  2. Kimber on April 8th, 2009 1:40 pm

I actually really enjoyed Lou as a potential love interest for Chuck. Sure. my heart lies with Chuck/Sarah, but Lou was sweet and sassy and I kind of liked her for Chuck!

Scott Bakula as Daddy Bartowski was awesome, but I liked Nicole RItchie best because I expected her to suck in the role, and she didn’t!

Chuck/Morgan forever! I love that bromance. You can tell they totally care for each other, as dudes, and are devastated when something comes between them.

Finally, Fulcrum is awesome, but I love the “thing” between the Beverley Hills Buy More and our Burbank Buy More. It’s funny, it’s competitive and it’s nice to see our boys band together as a team. Even if it just to trash another store!

My favorite Casey love interest was Ilsa! The Casablanca references were great in that episode. Casey in love is adorable! Lou just makes me angry, at least with Jill I was convinced from the start she was evil, but I had no real reason to dislike Lou.

My favorite guest star has to be Bakula, but I think guest star that surprised me the most was Nicole Richie- I thought she did a great job!

The bromance was a tossup for me. I picked Chuck and Morgan because I always think Morgan needs more love, but I could have picked any of the others.

How about cutest real relationship? I love Morgan and Anna.

  4. Emily S. on April 8th, 2009 1:59 pm

They joke about pitting Chuck fans against each other, but when it comes to this pole I was arguing with myself.

So many alternate love interests that are fantastic.

How do I choose between Morgan and Chuck and Jeffster?

And Best Guest star!? Don’t even get me started. If we have been blessed in any particular area it is definitely guest stars. Scott Bakula, NIcole RIchie, Jordana Brewster, Matthew Bomer. . . The list goes on.

Why would NBC ever want to get rid of a show THIS good!?

    AstronomySnap! Hee! Great handle!

You guys are so awesome, I love reading about everyone’s opinions. I had a hard time choosing too, and I’m the one that made up the questions! In the end, though, I went with:

Cole. You guys know how I loved his hot chemistry with Sarah. Lou was a close second, but I do love any Casey love interest.

Nicole Richie. I agree–a lot of it was just how magnificently SURPRISING she was. And I loved the shower girlfight. But there have been a lot of truly, truly outstanding guest stars and I think this might be one of the show’s greatest assets (referential pun!), but it also makes it probably the hardest poll question.

Jeffster. I am ALWAYS cracked up by them. I do love all the bromances, but they take the cake for me. I do, however, like the bromance name “Captain Morgan” an awful lot. (I forget who coined it around here, but good job once again!)

And for nemesis, I went with the slightly off-beat selection of Mighty Jocks. I thought they were hilarious in their episode, and you guys know of my Strahan love. That’s the thing about me taking the poll–everyone already knows what I think! 🙂

  8. Jordan on April 8th, 2009 3:02 pm

Oh man, how could you not choose Lou for the best love interest? As much as I love Ilsa and Alex Forrest (okay that gun cleaning scene was like porn without sex) Lou was the cutest thing in the world and her chemistry with Chuck was off the charts. That scene in the deli with the flowers will always be my favorite scene. Who knew making a sandwich could be so hot.

Favorite guest star?! After I narrowed it down (meaning I cut out Jordana Brewster first off – don’t even get me started on that name stealer) it was still super hard. Gary Cole or Scott Bakula?! I eventually chose Scott, if only because he made me feel things for Chuck and Ellie’s past that I had never felt before and that’s either some damn god writing or some damn good acting.

And come on. Okay. As much I love the semi-bromance that is Chuck and Casey (or Chasey as the shippers call it, lmao) the show is built around the Chuck and Morgan bromance, end of story. When it’s good, it’s freaking awesome. When it’s bad, you know that it sucks for the both of them because we know they’re life partners. Chuck summed it up himself, “Morgan was here before you came, and he’ll be here long after you’ve gone.” That’s love, guys.

No Bryce for the nemesis vote? Seriously? I’d say if anything, I mean next to this super cool war we have with Fulcrum, Bryce is Chuck’s true nemesis.

  9. JT on April 8th, 2009 3:19 pm

Lou – Just becaue her relationship with Chuck made Sarah realize she had feelings for him too!

Gary Cole -Awesome as Sarah’s dad

Chuck and Casey – Casey has a heart!

The omission of John Larroquette in the best guest-star poll was glaring. GLARING! 🙂

Love everything about “Chuck.” Thanks for dedicating your week to it, GMMR.

  11. SB on April 8th, 2009 3:41 pm

Oh, man! I meant to include him, but I must have forgotten. I know a lot of people loved him!

  12. Billiam on April 8th, 2009 3:49 pm

I have yet to watch the newest ep (busy week) but I really like John Laroquette’s guest role.

  13. Super Chuck Fan That Is Learning To Use The Computer Just To Help Save CHUCK! on April 8th, 2009 3:55 pm

I love this show. I cannot wait for next week. I’m trying to learn how to use a “PC” just to try and help save the series! It took me an hour to write this.

  14. SB on April 8th, 2009 4:02 pm

Ha! Super Chuck Fan, you crack me up!

  15. Lisa (aka lmr) on April 8th, 2009 5:57 pm

I went for Alex, Jeffster (bromance), Beverly Hills Buy More, and “other” for guest star – what no John Laroquette as a choice, SB? I lobed him long tim…

  16. SB on April 8th, 2009 7:57 pm

I’m sorry about John Laroquette, you guys! I admit that I must have forgotten him because I wasn’t crazy about him but that’s why I left a write-in option, so don’t hate! 🙂

  17. The_1337 on April 8th, 2009 8:24 pm

Karina because she is so devious, Dominic Monaghan for his hilarious portrayal of a rock star, Jeffster for all the great moments, and other for Harry Tang.

  18. SB on April 8th, 2009 8:33 pm

Oooohhhh … HARRY TANG! How could I forget?!?! Great write-in vote, that one!

  19. Michele on April 8th, 2009 8:51 pm

Ha ha! There is no wrong answer for best bromance! :0)

  20. Jamie on April 8th, 2009 8:54 pm

hey why don’t you add jonathan cake as an option for best guest star? he was hawt!

  22. palais on April 8th, 2009 9:46 pm

I watch the show ( outside of the fact it’s AWESOME!) for Zac and Adam- so I choose Chuck and Casey for bromance. It may be one sided, but it’s a funny one sided one. Although I love Jeffster! And Chorgan! And Captain Awesome’s bromance with his abs ( okay, I’m drinking wine right now to drown my sorrows that NBC is keeping us in the dark).

No one beats Scott Bakula. Every guest star has been awesome ( Nicole Richie was a really close second), but dude, it’s Chuck’s dad.

I love Lou, who was sweet and played by Summer… er, Rachel Bilson, so…

And anything to do with Buy More is awesome.

Am I saying awesome enough yet? Awesome.

    Oh, and pineapple.

  23. Ryan on April 8th, 2009 11:25 pm

I have to say, I’m a little dissapointed that John Larroquette was not mentioned in the poll. His role as a semi-retired agent Rowen in Chuck Vs. the Seduction was priceless. Other than that, I would have to say the Scott Bakula as Chuck’s dad fits perfectly into the show.

  24. SB on April 9th, 2009 12:05 am

Michele, you are a girl after my own heart!

And you guys, for the last time, I’M SORRY ABOUT JOHN LAROQUETTE! IT WAS A GROSS OVERSIGHT AND I WILL ROT IN THE FIERY FURNACE OF HELL FOR ALL ETERNITY AND HE WAS SO AWESOME AND I SUCK SO MUCH. JOHN LAROQUETTE JOHN LAROQUETTE JOHN LAROQUETTE!

Hee! I crack myself up. But if you’d like to turn this into a Buy More cagefight, I totally accept the challenge!

  25. Give Me My Remote on April 9th, 2009 6:31 am

Ha ha ha…yeah guys, The Laroquette was an oversight. It’s been covered. You can blame me for that one. When I created the poll I hit ‘Other’ as an option and I thought you would be able to actually write in a name. Sorry about that. Feel free to respectfully add anyone you’d like to the list.

  26. SB on April 9th, 2009 9:35 am

Just want to make sure you all know I ain’t mad atcha! I think the whole thing is hilarious–I never knew John Laroquette could inspire such passion! Apparently he truly was the perfect choice for the seductive Roan Montgomery. 🙂

  27. Ryan on April 9th, 2009 10:58 am

Hey SB, just wanted to make sure you know that we are not mad at you either. We just want to give credit where credit is due, haha. I really appreciate what you all are doing for this show. I became a fan on episode 3 of season one when I was really into Heroes. I decided to tune in an hour early and found Chuck. I got so into Chuck that I don’t even bother with Heroes anymore. Chuck has everything I need in a show to get my TV fix. I can truly say that I am addicted (and I’ve never been addicted to a show before to this magnitude). Keep the blogs, polls, stories, and support for Chuck coming.
    Thanks Again,
    Ryan

  28. SB on April 9th, 2009 11:03 am

Oh, Ryan! You’re so great! And I totally get it–I think a lot of the John Laroquette discussion was because people possibly didn’t read the comments before posting. And it became one of those things that got funnier to me the more it was mentioned, but I wasn’t sure if that came across in writing, you know? I’m so excited that we’re all sharing our Chuck love here together this week!
