Prison Break Season 2 Premiere

Update: Click here for full Prison Break Season 2 Premiere Recap
So over the course of the past few months there’s been a lot of chit chat about whether or not Prison Break could live up to its freshman season hype. I mean the show is called Prison Break, and out of prison the boys have broken. So what’s left?

A lot.

Just minutes ago I finished watching the Season 2 premiere of Prison Break, and let me be the first to tell you that Season 2 is off to a kickass start. If the first episode is any indication of what’s to come over the course of the season, then we are in for the same thrill ride that season one so kindly provided. I found myself holding my breath through a few scenes (that’s always a good sign).

I’m not going to spoil anything for you because I really, really want you to watch the premiere on Monday, August 21st at 8/7C but here’s what I will tell you….
William Fichtner of Prison BreakWilliam Fichtner is good, I mean REALLY good as the FBI agent chasing Michael and his band of merry men. He eases right into the role, and he’s so understanded that he has a tendency to make some of the actors around him stick out like sore thumbs.

You are in for a few surprises in the first episode. One in particular that I really didn’t see coming, but that I was quite happy with, but that’s just me.
Wentworth Miller isn’t a natural born runner. He looks kind of silly when he runs. That being said, the boy is still one of the best looking men on the planet, so if he has to have a flaw then so be it.

Alright, I know that this is all a bit of a tease, but I really don’t want to give away too much. Just know that Prison Break is back, and it hasn’t lost any of its Season One goodness. And I promise you we call all dish about the show once it airs on Monday.

If you have never watched Prison Break, and don’t have time between now and Monday to watch all the S1 DVDs, fear not. The S2 premiere does an amazing job at bringing everyone up to speed. Enough that you can really get into the show, even if you don’t have all the back stories. At the same time, as someone who hasn’t missed an ep, I wasn’t bored by the rehashing of Season 1. It’s handled very well.

If you just can’t wait to get your PB fix, or you are a Prison Break newbie, then check out this incredible Season 2 promo.[gv data=”_N9wZ0n8XZ0″][/gv]

Had to be the first to comment! πŸ™‚ I’m so glad to hear that Season 2 seems to be living up to the expectations that Season 1 set out. That promo definitely got me excited about the premiere.

I’m really looking forward to seeing how William Fichtner’s character fits into everything. It looks great and I’m glad that it’s coming back (and I’ll get my weekly Wentworth viewing πŸ˜‰ )… counting down to Monday!

Awesome. I’m so glad it lived up to the standards set by Season One. I guess we can expect to see Ducky’s POV soon? He’s been pretty excited about PB coming back, from what I recall…
