CHICAGO P.D. celebrates its milestone 200th episode on Wednesday, February 22 with the wildly ambitious, and character-driven, “Trapped.”

“We want to do something that gives credit to the fact that we’ve done this show for 10 years, and also to how many really talented people work on this show,” CHICAGO P.D. boss Gwen Sigan previously told Give Me My Remoter. “We’re going to do a production feat…it will be a bit of an action movie, but also a very emotional Burgess storyline.”

“I’m excited for it,” she continued. “It’s going to be a fun, very challenging one, but I think we can do it…it’s really about Intelligence as it is now and how far these characters have come in the past 10 years.”

When the hour kicks off Burgess (Marina Squerciati) is forced to contend with her lingering PTSD, which has been flaring up in recent months.

CHICAGO P.D.: Benjamin Levy Aguilar Reflects on the ‘Beautiful’ Experience of Filming Torres’ Big Episode

CHICAGO P.D.’s Benjamin Levy Aguilar officially joined the NBC drama this fall, and it didn’t take long for viewers to get insight into his character, Torres, in the episode “Donde Vives.”

And while fans got to see Torres’ first real test as a member of Intelligence—as well as go home with the young cop—it also served as a big moment for Aguilar, who got to lead his first showcase episode.

“There was some help from people in the cast, but I kind of just knew exactly what I needed to do,” Aguilar tells Give Me My Remote in the video below. “And trust the process of what made me become an actor—finding the parallels in my life, but breaking cycles because I have a lot of [those] I have broken and a lot to break. And I just went inward.”

“It was actually a very beautiful experience for me to do it on my own,” he continues. “I have a certain way of getting into those real moments. I have certain…not habits, because it’s not like a scientific thing, but I know what I need to do to isolate or to dig in deep inside of my heart to get there. And I was actually just really ready and really fulfilled by all the pain that I was feeling, which is kind of a weird thing. But…everything that I felt was real, and it made me grow as a person, then, outside of it. It really did. It made me find similarities or get inspired to do things in my own life, because of what I went through.”

On the Wednesday, December 7 fall finale of CHICAGO P.D., Intelligence is finally in a good place with their investigation into Sean (Jefferson White)…at least, that’s what they think.

“We finally have some actual physical evidence,” showrunner Gwen Sigan tells Give Me My Remote in the video below. “But, unfortunately, we will see that that’s not enough. And there will be a lot of obstacles. We now know it’s Sean, Sean knows we’re coming after him. The chief knows we’re coming after him.
