As McCall acclimates to civilian life, she is compelled to use her considerable resources to help Jewel (Lorna Courtney), a teenager accused of murder and on the run from the criminals who framed her for the crime, on the series premiere of the re-imagined classic series THE EQUALIZER, to be broadcast immediately following CBS Sports’ broadcast of SUPER BOWL LV on Sunday, Feb. 7 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/7:00-8:00 PM, PT; time is approximate after post-game coverage) on the CBS Television Network. More than 35 years after CBS debuted THE EQUALIZER series (where it ran from 1985-1989; there were also two Denzel Washington-led films in the 2010s, that were inspired by the franchise), a new version is coming to television—directly after SUPER BOWL LV

In the drama, Robyn McCall (Queen Latifah) is a former CIA operative who returns home to her family—a teenage daughter, Delilah (Laya DeLeon Hayes), and her Aunt Vi (Lorraine Toussaint)—but finds herself drawn to helping those who are down on their luck.

CBS has given THE EQUALIZER the plum post-Super Bowl slot.

The series, starring Queen Latifah and from CASTLE’s Andrew Marlowe and Terri Edda Miller, will bow directly after SUPER BOWL LV on Sunday, February 7 at approximately 10/9c and 7 PM PT. The series will then move to its regular Sundays at 8/7c time slot on February 14.
