THE BOYS franchise expands today with its new series GEN V. But the series comes at a strange time in the industry—the WGA strike just ended, and the actors’ guild will begin their negotiations with the AMPTP on October 2.

SUPERNATURAL writers and actors have been regular fixtures on the WGA and SAG-AFTRA picket lines—including a mini-reunion picket on August 10—but they made it official with a jam-packed reunion picket on Thursday, August 31 at the Warner Bros. lot.

When SUPERNATURAL aired its 300th episode in February, a very special viewer watched the Winchester family have a bittersweet reunion: series creator Eric Kripke.

Kripke ran the first five seasons of the (very) long-running WB-turned-CW drama, but left in 2010 after he finished his intended arc for the show. (He’s created REVOLUTION, co-created TIMELESS, and ran the upcoming Prime Video series THE BOYS in the years since his departure.)

The writer has always been a vocal supporter of the series, but the milestone prompted tweets about the hour itself and a look back at where everything started. Read more

Jim Beaver has kept busy since being killed off of SUPERNATURAL in the show’s seventh season, and his latest gig (on NBC’s REVOLUTION) reunites him with a few familiar faces: REVOLUTION/SUPERNATURAL creator Eric Kripke and former SUPERNATURAL writer/new REVOLUTION writer Ben Edlund.
