GLEE’s Final Season to Be 13 Episodes

Comments Off on GLEE’s Final Season to Be 13 Episodes

GLEE’s final season will officially be its shortest: a rep for the show has confirmed GLEE’s upcoming sixth season will only be 13 episodes.

Back in May, then-Fox boss Kevin Reilly hinted that the 22 episode order for the show could be cut.

“We’re actually going to sit down with [GLEE creator] Ryan [Murphy] and really talk about how we’re going to end it, and figure that out,” Reilly said at the time. “The advantage of having it on later in the season is we don’t have to feel the pressure of delivering [the episodes on time]; we can do them in a row. So we’re going to talk about exactly the best way to end the show, and how many [episodes] that is.”

Are you OK with GLEE only having 13 episodes left?

Comments Off on 20th Century Fox Releases Statement Confirming Chris Colfer Will Remain on GLEE

Twitter was abuzz when GLEE star Chris Colfer’s personal account tweeted out the following message: “Due to personal issues, I have been let go from the cast of GLEE. Explanations will come shortly…”

But not so fast — 20th Century Fox (the studio that produces GLEE) confirmed that Colfer’s account was actually hacked and he will, as planned, be a part of the show’s final season. The studio’s statement:

“We’ve been alerted that Chris Colfer’s twitter account has been hacked. Rumors of his dismissal from GLEE could not be further from the truth. We love Chris and look forward to working with him again this season.”

Are you happy Colfer is staying on GLEE?

GMMR TV Awards: The Winners Revealed!

June 30, 2014 by
Filed under #1 featured, GMMR Awards

After weeks of nominations and voting, you have determined who should take home the fourth annual Give Me My Remote TV Awards!

Before we get to the winners, I want thank everyone who participated in our annual contest. Without your nominations and votes, it would just simply be me saying what I loved the most, and what fun is that? (And in case you think your vote might not have made a difference, while most winners won by hundreds — or thousands — of votes, one category was won by TWO votes.)

Which also means this is a good time to remind you that these winners are 100% decided by you, the Give Me My Remote readers, and some fan bases came out in droves (and mounted really impressive campaigns). So if you’re delighted by the winners, yay! I’m so happy to hear that. And if you’re disappointed, a) sorry, and b) hopefully you’re satisfied with at least one category.

So with all that being said, the winners of the fourth annual GMMR TV Awards are…

After two weeks of Give Me My Remote readers nominating their television favorites from the past year, it’s time to vote for the 4th Annual GMMR TV Awards!

Most of the categories have five nominees, but due to ties, the number can vary. (And, as a reminder, each category can only have two nominees per show, so only the top two vote-getters from any particular series moved forward.)

Jane Lynch, Chelsea Peretti, Alex Borstein, Yeardley Smith, and Heather Kadin Share Which TV Characters They’d Like to Have a Girls’ Night Out With

June 10, 2014 by

fox-girls-night-out

Many of Fox’s fabulous women gathered on Monday night for a panel entitled, appropriately enough, “Girls’ Night Out,” and the women shared their input on their characters, what they struggled with, and some of the perks of the job.

Before the panel, I asked Jane Lynch (GLEE), Chelsea Peretti (BROOKLYN NINE-NINE), Alex Borstein (FAMILY GUY), Yeardley Smith (THE SIMPSONS), and Heather Kadin (SLEEPY HOLLOW) which television character they’d like to have a girls’ night out with…and their answers were fabulous. (And ranged from people like 24’s Nina Meyers to FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS’ Tami Taylor to MARY TYLER MOORE’s Mary.)

Check it out!
