Comments Off on ONCE UPON A TIME IN WONDERLAND: Michael Socha Teases the Knave’s Flashback

ONCE UPON A TIME IN WONDERLAND’s Knave has already proven to have burned some bridges in Wonderland (bet he’s regretting that fairy ride), but in tonight’s brand new episode, viewers will get to see how deep his history with certain characters actually goes.

“You see him as one of Robin Hood’s men,” Michael Socha (Knave) teased to reporters. “You don’t know which one [of the men he is]. I’m not going to tell you which one. Yeah, and he’s quite a soppy git: he’s quite emotional, and he loves his missus, but he’s still a thief. He’s a good thief; he steals, I think, for the right reasons…I think he’s easily manipulated.”

But let’s see if the people he steals from are as easily forgiving…

ONCE UPON A TIME IN WONDERLAND airs Thursdays at 8 PM on ABC.

And the final pieces of the potential ONCE UPON A TIME quasi-spinoff presentation set in Wonderland have fallen into place: an ABC rep confirms that Sophie Lowe will play Alice, Peter Gadiot has been cast as Cyrus (Alice’s mysterious love interest), and the series presentation is working under the title ONCE: WONDERLAND. The news was first reported by Deadline.

The hiring of Lowe and Gadiot follows Michael Socha’s casting earlier in the day as The Knave of Hearts.

ONCE UPON A TIME: Michael Socha Cast in Spinoff Presentation

Comments Off on ONCE UPON A TIME: Michael Socha Cast in Spinoff Presentation

The potential ONCE UPON A TIME quasi-spinoff is starting to take shape: a representative for ABC confirms that Michael Socha has been cast as one of the leads in the upcoming pilot presentation for an Alice in Wonderland-centric spinoff.

According to Deadline (who was first to report the casting), Socha will play The Knave of Hearts, “a sardonic adventurer, a man of action, a loner and a heart-breaker” in the four-scene presentation ONCE UPON A TIME co-creators Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis are working on with Jane Espenson and Zack Estrin.

There’s no definitive timetable for when we might see this potential spinoff, but if ABC likes what they see, Horowitz and Kitsis insisted earlier this month that they wouldn’t be recasting Sebastian Stan as the Mad Hatter, and the intention was for this to be a one-off, limited series type of thing.

Are you hoping we get to explore more of the Wonderland world in a potential spinoff?
